There have been so many videos made all about how actors gain and lose a ton of weight to take on different characters. But what about all of the other kinds of transformations they endure in order to totally disappear into a new role? Some actors are really willing to go the distance when it comes to their craft, and the results always speak for themselves! Take Tom Holland, who changed his body not once, not twice, but three times for his new film Cherry! Or Zendaya, whose turn as a flying trapeze artist in The Greatest Showman caused her a ton of pain. There is Margot Robbie, who not only learned to skate, bleached her hair and herniated a disk in her spine for I, Tonya, but also learned how to hold her breath for five minutes during Suicide Squad. Jamie Foxx had his eyes plastered shut with prosthetics to play Ray Charles, Brad Pitt voluntarily chipped his own teeth in Fight Club, Shaileen Woodley got seriously seasick during Adrift, and Leonardo DiCaprio did… well, just about everything to finally take home that Oscar in The Revenant.
