I’m doing the exemptions for A212, A213 and A214 all next year (it’s the final year of our undergrad) and I keep looking all over for videos that explain the concepts. I’m a lazy reader and I prefer sitting back and absorbing. 😅 Since you mentioned lecturers actually record lectures and upload them (a foreign thing at UP 🙈) I was wondering if perhaps there is some folder or Google drive that has all the videos??? UP has such a drive but it doesn’t contain videos/lectures - just past papers and memos, etc. Anyways, I might be reaching here. I emailed my lecturers for their videos from covid times and they said they couldn’t (or wouldn’t - or perhaps both) make them available to me. So ugh. (By the way this is just for December and January when I plan to get a head start for next year). Anyways, hope your final month goes really, really well. I saw the notification for your latest video and I can’t wait to watch it.

Firstly, MOOD. Sorry it don’t go well, no matter how many times it happens it still sucks. Secondly the final year of your undergrad does ALL those exemptions😭😭😭😭 Nah I’m rooting for you fr, that’s a lot of work. But I back you to do well so fingers and toes crossed 🤞🏾 So the general problem is that all our lecture videos are on the Vula (the UCT server) and they’re actually very difficult to get off in on go surprisingly so I will see what I can finesse but I doubt I’ll be able to 😩 So A212 for us is 3 stats courses and 1 “act sci” course (I’m actually going to redo on of them to try get the exemption next year) As for A214 that’s in my final year next year so I haven’t done it yet and A213 I also haven’t done because long story short, I change specializations and now I will do it through the board. Sorry this message was long and not very helpful. 😭 Thank you for the support though. And definitely don’t feel bad, you’re not reaching at all ❤️❤️❤️ Backing you all the way. But I really want to do the BCom Honours in act sci at UCT and they do the A214 in that year, so if I do miss it next year at UP, I can still potentially get it before I start working. That's the same problem we have - they sometimes upload videos onto our server and then they are not downloadable, so I completely understand. Please don't worry about it, though. I need to learn how to "teach" myself and read in a way that allows me to grasp the content better because that is essentially what will happen with those remaining board exams after uni. Shucks but isn't the A213 the one you wrote a few weeks ago?? The one from your latest vlog? I recall seeing those life tables haha. So you presumably have firsthand experience in studying on your own. How was it preparing for it? And did you have to teach yourself everything or did you attend some of the classes before changing specialisations? (I didn't even know there was a thing like specialisations in this degree - at UP we all just do the same thing). My plan is actually to work through all of those 700 odd pages during the holidays so that I am guaranteed the A213 exemption. This is so embarrassing that I have taken to essay-writing in an attempt to delay my studying haha. (And apologies that you are on the receiving end of it).🙈 I believe our A212 is actually 5 modules - 4 stats and one act sci course. I've passed the one and the next 4 are all done next year, but I believe I will be okay. Stats is always just a ton of theory - definitions and theorems and then you'll be okay. I am a little more worried over the A213 because the size of that pack of notes is no joke. We are not allowed to redo a module if we passed it the first time but missed the exemption, but I am glad you are able to! All the best with it and go get that exemption!!!😀 I'm typing this on my macbook (on youtube) and the emojis are so ratchet looking🤣. Anyways, I really hope things are going well that side and that we get to meet one day! I'm sending all the good luck I can muster and willpower I have to spare (which admittedly, is very little) your way! We've got this! (what even is this emoji🤣)

This is so real. And people’s sentiment of “oh you came so far, why quit now?” is so annoying. We can move and change careers at any time point of our lives. If something isn’t working for us, sometimes moving on is best. I wouldn’t even think of it as giving up. That’s so negative.
