if its taking awhile to get hot. It could be your heater core plugged up... Go to the firewall feel both of those hoses going to your heater core one will be cold and one will be hot if you have an issue. When it eventually get hot enough itll break through and both hoses will be hot but right away you should feel them both get warm. A common fix for that is taking off the heater core( in and out) lines and flushing the heatercore out with water from a hose. Ive had to do this on a few equinox and Malibu's

Yeah you can just tell by how the car has held up so we'll over the years these are built solid. This thing still drives like new, and the buttons/doors all have a great feel to them

They are just regular leather work gloves, keeping me from burning my hands on the hot engine

Yep, Honda/Acura is my specialty. However it is just a hobby of mine. My first car was my 1997 Honda Civic and it taught me a lot.
