Acura TL Front Bumper Removal & Replacement

Front bumper removal performed on a 2005 Acura TL. This vehicle has an aftermarket bumper, however, most of the factory connection points stay the same. You can do this on your own but is a bit easier with a mate.

The factory bumper does not have that bolt on the inner fender wall. That front bumper is made by Ron Jon. It is an aftermarket company that's designed for the 3rd gen TL.

I wanted to re-align left side fender and put it towards the hood as this side has a little more gap than the other. I fought the front cover clips...mainly the ones that have a pin inside but it is situated a bit deep and don't know how to make the pin raise.

I have an 04 TL and when im on drive its like im on neutral but goes in reverse and can drive on low gear then change to drive after im in motion is that a trans issue meaning I need a whole new trans or can it be something else?

Try resetting your trans computer... turn car on but not the engine hold the gas pedal to the floor for 35 seconds exactly then turn off the car then turn it back on should reset any data stored it worked for my tl it shifts like a champ now

Didn't have to replace. It was removed to replace the HID unit.
