How to remove and install 22mm adjustable sway bar from Progress Group. This sway bar will allow better handling and traction when cornering. Definitely a noticeable and worthy mod. Install is for 2009 and up. (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014)
Tools needed:
12mm deep socket wrench
14mm wrench
14mm socket wrench
allen wrench (unknown size)
13/32mm drill bit or 7/16mm and power drill
Review from HeelToe Automotive:
"The rear sway bar is the most commonly upgraded suspension part in a front-wheel drive car, after shocks and springs. The rear sway bar helps make up for FF cars' tendency to push, or understeer, into corners. Upgrading the rear sway bar noticeably improves handling on the TSX without compromising ride quality. This part is easily the most Bang for the Buck you are going to get out of your TSX suspension.
We have felt that the stock 2009 TSX suspension is indeed very well setup, and the chassis is noticeably more rigid than the outgoing model. And while it feels balanced through turns there is a distinct feeling that the rear end is just following what the front of the car is doing. With the addition of a larger rear sway bar, the car feels flatter and more confident than before in turns. The rear seems to help "steer" the car around turns better. This is not the same experience we've had in the past, where a rear sway bar will "fix" a front wheel drive car's tendencies. Instead this bar helps make an already nimble and balanced chassis feel even better!"
"Progress Suspension anti-roll bars (or sway bars) dramatically improve handling by reducing the traction-robbing body glean h that rolls part of the outside tires off the pavement. Progress Groups's Sport-tuned Anti-roll bars replace skinny OEM bars and rubber bushings with larger diameter (stiffer) alloy steel bars and polyurethane bushings. More roll stiffness means less body lean, and the tires stay flatter on the pavement (larger contact patches). The result is more grip and added driver control!
Less body roll means more traction, faster cornering speeds, and increased driver confidence.
Polyurethane bushings produce crisp response on turn-in.
2009+ TSX BAR IS A 22MM BAR WITH TWO MOUNTING HOLES FOR STIFFNESS ADJUSTMENT. THIS IS AN ADJUSTABLE SWAY BAR WHICH ALLOWS YOU TO FINE TUNE THE HANDLING OF YOUR CAR
Installation does not impact alignment angles
Ride quality is not impacted over straight roads; only noticeable while cornering or transversing uneven surfaces.
Progress Anti-roll bars are cold-formed in-house using custom-built precision bending equipment. Both laser-cut and CNC bar ends are MIG welded in place using a precise fixture for an exact fit.

You upgrade the stock bar with a larger one and it gives the car better handling and traction when cornering. It allows for less body roll, faster cornering speeds, and overall confidence. Nothing went bad, it's just a mod to improve on the existing car.

Identical procedure to the Accord V6 as well. On the Accord this really helps reduce body roll significantly. It won't be completely gone, but huge difference overall and elevates to a more premium handling vehicle. Ride quality is not dramatically altered from stock either.

I like it! You can feel it whenever going on curvy roads or when cornering. It makes the steering feel lighter and more responsive. Under cornering you can definitely feel less understeer. I got mine from XLR8 Performance, Heeltoe Auto has it. It's a little pricey at $200.

neat video, i'll definitely consider getting the progress swaybar for my tsx. in the video you call the end links a control arm, just an fyi, they're called end links

That little "purple" piece is one end of the SWAY BAR END LINK! Not a control arm.

I see you got the chrome bar above the rear license plate. That only comes on 2011 models, how did you install it?

How does the drive now? Any changes in comfortably in daily driving? Or is felt only under cornering? Where did you buy it from?

hey, I am really thinking about this upgrade too!! did you use the firmer or the softer setting? also wondering if the stiffer setting makes the car prone to snap oversteer??

It's not stiff enough to induce snap oversteer. These cars don't oversteer, even with the stiff setting and the spherical bearing end links from Progress, which this guy didn't even upgrade the end links.

What? That's crazy cheap. Where'd you get it from? And how for that price? The cheapest I've seen (and believe me, I checked damn near every vendor for these generation Hondas) is $179 + tax.
