I'm soo grateful you were willing to share so much of your journey. I am newly diagnosed with an unfavorable type of AML. I hope I will find a transplant match.

Thank you for sharing your story and I’m glad you survived. My mom was diagnosed with AML during a routine blood check, she had a blood disorder. She was sent to the hospital that day, disease progressed rapidly, she was in ICU that night. She survived exactly 3 months and suffered the entire time. I wish they could have done more but that was not Gods plan for her. God Bless you always.

I’m 62, and I feel like something isn’t right with me either but no one seems to know what is wrong with me. It all started in July with incapacitating itching on my lower legs and then sores morphed into open wounds that had bleeding under the skin, and then it happened to my right breast. Dermatology took a biopsy of my lower leg but it didn’t show anything, and the ER did a skin culture that showed I had STAPH AUREUS. Today is September 18, 2023, and I have (4) new open wounds that bleed so easily. I also have very dark purple spots on both lower legs that are not fading away. The ER doctors tell me not to worry that the dark purple spots will go away. My CBC was normal except for my GR% was high. I’ve asked repeatedly for a referral to hematology but instead I’m being sent to a wound specialist (mmm, no one has called me yet). My fatigue has me bed ridden. I’m too tired to eat.

Have them check your pancreas, itching can be a sign of pancreatic cancer

My dad was diagnosed with this in 1994 and passed away in 1999 he was 64 years old. He lived well till his last 6 months. Only was given tablets, from the diagnosis as no other treatment was available for his age. It’s an awful disease.

All these cancer patients discuss varying symptoms- and all could be attributed to other things- which is what makes cancer even more scary. You just don’t know until things come to a head and doctors are made to take notice.

My wife last year was diagnosed with leusemia, the same as hers. She was 10 weeks pregnant. They sent her to do prenatal tests and her white blood cells were 0.8 and her platelets were 66. They sent her to a hospital the same day they gave her the news on September 13, 2022, Duero 1 was admitted to the hospital and given chemotherapy at 10 weeks of gestation, it was devastating news.

I’m so try to hear about your diagnosis. Just to understand, I thought you said it spread to your Omentum, the apron like fatty tissue in our abdomen. But you have said “chemo to my Peritoneum “ you also said you had a port put in your abdomen. If you know where these part of the body are? You understand why I’ve got?????

Big boned alright!!!…..Got the bingo wings too!!! 😂 This poor love is also suffering from those awful ugly dark blue bruises around her arms, which has seemingly caused the start of that modern-day sandpaper voice syndrome. ❤
