The serum level of acute phase reactants increase in inflammation and decrease when there is no inflammation.

@@MedicosisPerfectionalis Well, its an hereditary disorder (cant Remember the gene) in which Ceruloplasmin can not be synthesize by the liver. Therefore, its level is drastically low and copper is really high, since is its carrier. :)

Hello , it is possible eventually to calculate in mVolt the value of Zeta potential in the blood ? Would be helpful some more blood test, also to understand general low grade inflammation ? I'm studying the bioelectrical basis of health

One thing I didn’t understand that why you showed ceruloplasmin, haptoglobin & alfa 1 antitrypsin with positive APRs although they are decreased in acute phase. Please somebody explain this.

just a quick question, should the formation of the local blood clot occur outside the blood vessel? because if the coagulation occurs inside the blood vessel it can lead to thrombosis

Platelet can rise in acute inflammation, it’s called secondary thrombocytosis.

CRP should absolutely replace ESR. It's an outdated test!!

But CRP and ESR are used together since CRP can be normal in SLE,Multiple Myeloma,Sjogren's,UC,Pregnancy,End Stage Renal Disease but ESR is still high in these scenarios.
