Never knew they made such an animal! This baby was no doubt state-of-the-art back in here day, but I would imagine that it was yet another one of those "too little, too late" things once internal combustion came onto the scene. I used to do a lot of railfanning in Swanton, Ohio.

So it's a closed-loop system with a radiator to condense the exhaust steam and return it to the boiler, and a belt-driven blower to create a draft? Plus the mechanical coal crusher and auto stoker system.

+12799MaDeuce Yes, there is also a separator, that will separator the oil from the condensed steam.

Is it supplying power or soaking up power?
@oldfarmshow8 жыл бұрын
+fixyerdigger The gas tractor is providing power to the blower 'fan' the the smoke stack of the AD Baker. At the time the AD Baker was low on steam pressure.

@marshallman1au8 жыл бұрын
Yes it does .... It crushes its own coal ..... !!! So disappointing ..... For something so "Hi-tech" .... I saw nothing ...... :(
