It's great to see American steam tractors working. Most the steam tractors videos are British, which I really, but this is great! I have some British and German miniature, around 1/16the scale, live steam tractors but there are no American steam tractors of that scale. Too bad, I would like to get one. They do make 1" scale that are really nice, but that is far more than I am going to pay! Thanks for posting this. I enjoyed watching them.

+nightlightabcd I would really love to get a steam engine as well, but the prices on most of the models are a complete rip off. They want over 700 euro (~1000 USD) for a scale model on ebay.

Rokas Getautas - My most expensive live steam traction engine is a Wilesco D-409, that I have $315 invested in. But it is 1/16th scale. 1" scale is much more expensive but a lot more detailed. I'm sticking with the 1/16th scale, miniatures. So far, I have around $700 invested in my three engines alone, not counting fuel, oil bands line drives. It's still a lot cheaper then hot rods!

nightlightabcd I bet it is awesome having a steam engine model, just looking at it do its job and how it works :)

Rokas Getautas - Well, it is different. It reminded me of a time before my time when the industrial revolution was in full swing and steam was king. They completely changed our world. However, they are just toys and it's nice to steam them now and then. It's also nice to converse with others on the Mamod Steam Forum. I think it would be awesome to own a real steam tractor, but that would not only cost a lot of money but dedication, which I sorely lack on all counts.

Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view! " Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
