Big Shot is a book kids will read again and again - in fact Chloe has already read it three times since it arrived in our house at the end of half term - that's a lot of hours that she's had her nose in her book and not glued to a screen! Because Ben and Amy have been reading it too, there's been lots of laughter and sharing of the story - "Have you read this bit?" or "Wasn't it funny when . . . ?"
But it's not all laugh out loud comedy - themes of teamwork, friendship and bravery run through Big Shot and I especially loved that when we were ice skating at the weekend Amy and Chloe made links back to the book and talked about how helping each other to get better on the ice, even when it was really hard was similar to Greg's experience in the story.
