Our Butler Burgess Festive Traditions - Ice Skating & a Christmas Party!

Every year except one since Amy was born, we've got ice skating with the Butlers at Christmas - it's always one of my favourite days of the season. This year we followed up our ice skating session at Cathedral Gardens ice rink with the annual Butler Christmas party.

I used to love skating as a child and I wish that we still had an ice rink where we live. We have a temporary one locally and hoping to take the kids before they go back to school

This is a temporary one in Manchester City Centre that we go to every year though we do have two proper rinks relatively close by - we're doing a three day course next month which I'm excited about

I really wish I'd have learnt to ice skate as a kid because I can't ice skate now and it's such a pain!! This looks fantastic... I wonder if I can use one of those training penguins!! haha

The penguins are super handy but cost £5 to hire & you have to be under a certain height so I don't think we'll get one at all next year - hopefully everyone will be more confident after our lessons next month though.
