Whoever controls the food supply controls the population. I was blessed to grow up on two different farms during my childhood and early adult years. I highly recommend learning self sufficiency and food processing skills such as canning, dehydrating and smoking meats etc. Self sufficiency is key to maintaining true freedom.

I heard you can report facebook friends if you're afraid they're too prepped to get them "help" (probably labotomized, but you know... at least he won't disrupt society anymore with his preparedness). I recently took a trip to the Balkans, in particular Serbia and Croatia. I went up into the villages and I couldn’t believe what I saw. Not a single person was even slightly overweight. Everyone had a slim and muscular build. Even some of the older people had muscles showing that not even some 20 year olds have. I come to find that most of the people live off of their own little farms. A few chickens, sheep, and crops. The food quality was unbelievable. The tomatoes were fully red inside and out, filled with juice, not like the half green and rock solid ones in the USA. The egg yoke was a deep orangish red. If you’ve ever seen a natural plum, they are nearly 1/4 of the size of the ones found in the United States supermarkets. My advice would be for everyone to start their own little farms, and tend to a few chickens but that’s just me.

And he’s talking about how grains are bad cause 90% population depends on it.
@buildurtruckurway91182 жыл бұрын
@@TheZachary86 well I definitely agree with science and every single dietitian that grains are terrible for the human body. We have dozens of illnesses that make us unable to eat grains such as celiac desease irritable bowel syndrome the list goes on. But there is very few people that can't eat meat, it's been proven there is no such thing as a truly vegan diet as 80% of the products still contain some type of animal by-products. It's also been proven you can't survive that way without serious supplements. The reason he has that privilege is because he lives what's called a self sustainable lifestyle. he goes out and hunts that elk he eats whole foods has ways of growing his own foods ect. Yes that's not a luxury we all have but it's 100% true that that's how were our healthiest. Yes the agriculture of grains did change the world it gave us a huge advantage to stock pile a huge amount of food. It doesn't mean it's very healthy food, I could survive on a diet of pure processed cheese, peanut butter and white bread. But I guarantee the guy eating a form of non deep-fried meat every day eating "no bread" and only a cup or so of veggies and and an apple is gonna outperform me physically all day long. Also The agriculture of animals was in the works before we started with grains there's tons of evidence to support that. It looks as though we started growing simple grains like rye and wheat to support them and we ended up learning how to use them ourselves. After that we started even changing grains like corn and common wheats to make more flower.

This is an emotional topic for me, first because I fervently believed in what I learned in classrooms and books in the 1980s and 90s growing up, and that was meat is bad, fat is bad, calories are bad, plant based oils and carbs are good and they will keep you healthy, thin, and mentally and physically strong. I often struggled with my weight even while periodically starving myself, from childhood had low energy and was always about the weakest and slowest physically of all my peers. And I was taught to believe I must have some undiagnoseable medical problem. It took me forever to trust and even experiment on a diet higher in fats and low in carbs and stop processed foods and my weight was suddenly controllable. Found out I had been severely deficient in multiple nutrients throughout my adulthood only when I specifically asked a doctor to pull my records and tell me those specific results from the panels they had done over the years. They wanted to recheck my thyroid over and over again, but being chronically iron and D deficient was apparently not worthy of mention. Taking meds for inattentive ADD that barely do anything, when changing my diet )against all advice if medicine and big pharma) and taking supplements did far more good. Then on top of that it becomes apparent the nutritional guidance we are given is not for our benefit at all but for corporate gain and control of the population.

When I grew up my dad used to take me and my siblings to allotment, Hated it so much, each weekend without friends and childhood filled with farming chores. From perspective of years - I started to appreciate it a lot, it helps me to buy quality food. I started to make my own beer, roast coffee, getting meat from farmers, making my own bread. In Christmas planted garlic clove next to one of palm like plants in the house - just for a joke. Well it is not a joke anymore it is 3 inch tall and probably in few weeks I will have my first truly organic garlic... How much joy this small being brings is beyond me, I am literally acting like 4yrs baby when I see it growing day by day, so it is my oldest son :) Probably all palms and useless green stuff at home will end up as a compost...

Regarding grains, I dont think Joes opinion is accurate although it does reflect our modern biases. Grains are ubiquitous so it is natural that a few people will have allergies to them such as gluten hypersensitivity. However in the big picture they are actually plants with the LEAST endogenous toxins...unlike legumes/beans/lentils, leafy greens, and large animal meat products. This is probably due to the fact that they grow in large fields and have had little need to evolve such defense mechanisms and also because they have been selectively cultivated by humans for thousands of years. Large animals store various toxins they ingest throughout their lives. Many more scarcely growing plants have various poisons they have evolved to protect them. Grains do deserve some demonization from the way they are processed into high glycemic index foods and via pesticide exposure, however i think organic unprocessed grains are actually one of the least poisonous and most nutritious food products most people without allergies can eat. You can find references from an unbiased source in a book by Cheek "Natural Toxicants in Feeds, Forages, and Poisonous Plants."
@jimjam10002 жыл бұрын
Agreed. All the early 1800s health books raved about the benefits grains, especially wheat. After being gluten free for a while I decided to start making my own bread from organic traditional varieties of wheat, and been feeling really great. There's loads of studies on how beneficial wholegrains are... It's not a conspiracy! It's the modern processing / varieties why more & more people are becoming intolerant to gluten.

China doesn't supply 60% of the world's grain. They hold 60% of its grain reserves. That's a big difference. Saying they supply 60% makes it seem like they are feeding the whole world. Most of the remaining reserves are held by the US, and most of China's grain is imported from the US, Canada, and Australia. They have been hoarding more and more grain over the past decade because that is a point of leverage that the western powers have over them, not the other way around. The US is not going to face a shortage of grain anytime soon. That is the most ridiculous thing I've heard Adam say.

We will never run out of food, only that the highest quality foods will become harder to obtain
@ghostpeppered45242 жыл бұрын
4:46 It was not commercial profit motive that started this--that was a side-effect that came much later. It was about food security and rationing. They were focused on keeping people alive (short-term), not necessarily healthy (long-term). They needed to shift money from food production to weapons manufacture. That's how the government got into the business of prescribing American's dietary needs. It was during WW1 and the Great Depression. That's when the fillers were introduced systematically like cellulose and vegetable oils. It was guns and butter policy. They wanted the public to buy it so they cooked the data and sold it as a superior product. Anyone who criticized the health ill-health effects was suppressed because healthy food is harder to produce and scale in wartime. By the time the U.S. economy recovered, that's when the profit motive kept it alive. By that time, it was in everything, and admitting anything would have been a major cost and harm to international brands. Nazi Germany was selling orange soda branded as Fanta when it was made from recycled orange waste product! Also now that Federal gov was in the business of prescribing dietary needs, the U.S. meat and dairy lobbies had an incentive to influence the allotment of their product on the Food Pyramid, which is why we see various versions of this over time as they bartered for a percentage of the plate. Got Milk?

Eat only things that come and grow from the earth. EDIT: Also avoid most carbohydrates, such as pasta and bread. Any carbohydrates your body doesn’t use for quick energy, turn to sugar in the body. @MesozoicPigeonPie2 жыл бұрын
@@markusdead96, caloric needs are based on one’s daily activity. The more energy/effort you expend, the more calories you will need. This is why I gave the carbohydrate athlete reference - they expend tons of calories and they need to restock them. Building muscle usually requires an increase in calories as well. Typically women need fewer calories than men. I can tell you that if you do not have an active lifestyle, you do not need 2,500 calories a day. Some people swear by fasting techniques, which makes some sense to me, because as hunter gathers, we had “feast and famine” when it came to food and sources for and of it. We were not eating multiple times a day, every day, as we do in modernity. I would give more specifics, but I’m not sure of your exact situation, and I do not want to misguide. I've been cooking and placing food orders with wholesalers for a long time. Pre-pandemic I would see 'backorder' every few months on some random rare product like fig jelly. For the past year I've been seeing 'backorder' on a weekly basis on really regular staple foods. Last summer we couldn't get single portioned peanut butter for about six weeks. A few weeks ago we couldn't get turnips one week - turnips! Large scallops are hard to find, veggie burgers went missing for a few weeks (didn't break my heart), condensed mushroom soup was b/o for over a month, and at one point I couldn't get regular button mushrooms for 2 weeks (I assume the mushroom soup people bought them all up trying to catch up). I don't think we're out of food yet, but the supply chain is certainly messed up.

I went to a restaurant last week and they had a very limited menu. The staff was also extremely disinterested and poorly trained. Our waiter walked off and the "manager" didn't quite know himself how to run the register. If this is the sign of times to come, food will be a very interesting experience from now on

For one, it throws off the omega-3 and omega-6 balance in your system. A healthy ratio would be 1:4, but eating a seed-oil (canola,soy, etc) rich diet will turn that to 1:1000 possibly. Also some of the chemicals used to break down the cellulosic walls of the individual nuts are carcinogenic. Also, oil is the most calorically dense food so it can make you gain weight in that way because you're not seeing how much oil is going into your bread, chips and fries. However if you use olive oil in a salad or on a dish you cook, you see exactly how much oil is going into what you eat (healthy oils are rarely used in processed foods because they're unsubsidized). There's more reasons...

lol, i see your point; but, sometimes people who are highly concerned with what they say--and also highly familiar with themselves--can understand a thing and also understand that they may not have the ability to convey that knowledge in a way that is entirely cohesive/understandable on a broad scale. not to say that is "okay;" but some people would rather be measured and precise, rather than say a thing that could be thrown back at them in the future.

I feel like we still have a lot to learn about food as a society. Joe had Joel Salatin on his podcast a long time ago, he was a farmer that really did things the right way but was labeled a bioterrorist by the gov. because he refused to follow big corporations in the farming industry telling him to feed dead cows to cows. The corporate farming industry loves to cut corners and do whatever they can to save $. There's still so much we could change about how we farm and how we treat our food and how we eat and exercise and there's still so much to learn about it all. A lot if information we get is from corporate interests trying to promote thier products and way of thinking. If people put profits aside and did what was morally right for the planet and for people's health instead, we would not only be healthier and eat healthier but we would also live more harmoniously with the planet as well and climate change could be less of an issue. The way things are going now isn't good and changes need to be made but that means standing up to big corporations that want to sell us food and products that aren't good for our health amongst other things. It's also good for us to learn how to farm and take care of plants and animals ourselves.
@Jason-mh1pl2 жыл бұрын
Good points about farming i agree with most of them, however climate change is a natural occurance and its definitely not affecting us the way the lying gov. And corporations like to say it is. No way you could get insurance on a million dollar beach home if the insurers knew it would be underwater in 10 years, complete bs made up by the big wigs for power and control via fear.

Just want to put my two cents here. I've eliminated everything from my diet that they talked about in this video and more. It felt terrible for a long time but didn't really understand why. Gave it a try and I feel way better. If I do eat something like soy or canola oil, I definitely feel it and my day is mostly ruined. Started eating just meat, vegetables, fruit, nuts and a small amount of dairy. I feel so much better when I do this. Sorry if it pisses off vegans or plant food people, but the way it's made and packaged is really unhealthy and I literally can't eat it unless I want to feel like garbage all day. Eat what your ancestors ate and you'll become strong like them. You are what you eat, so eat the right stuff for your own body
@suspendedtwice4sayingrasis2612 жыл бұрын
How about eat whatever is best and convenient for you, while also not compromising health in the process? We know pretty well what's definitely not good for you, but we haven't got much of clue regarding what are the healthiest alternatives in terms of nutrition, so I'm pretty tired of people telling others what they're supposed to eat...
@rasputozen2 жыл бұрын
You don't have to eat any frozen/packaged vegan food to be vegan. You can eat whole food plant-based, and if you have that option you should. It's much healthier and honestly it just tastes better. The "downside" is you have to learn how to cook but it's not as hard as you might think.

I had a co worker who went vegan, our jobs were pretty physical, he had to drink these protein shakes or at least have something with protein but I noticed over a course of time he got weaker, after months of this he went back to meat and veggies and he was back to himself, it may not be like that for everyone but I don't believe anyone should be telling anyone how they should eat bc it's not the same for everyone

I'm from Texas and buy a whole cow and get it processed for 1400 total and end up with abput 650lbs in beef. Way cheaper and better quality than store bought. Also do pig the same way, when covid had almost 2 processed cows in the deep freezer and half a pig, used it to trade for other goods and gave some to those who needed some help. I would recommend doing this or finding someone in the county that raises animals and go in with them on raising some animals for processing.

you may have cut out some grains from your life, but you are now actually more dependant on foreign grains than ever before. Most cattle are fed grains, and most foreign grains are for feeding cattle. The grains you buy in your store are almost always locally grown, or from europe. A huge amount of grains is needed to make your dairy milk. Almost all land in the US is already allocated to feed cattle, but despite that the majority of cattle are still fed (foreign) grains.

I’ve been eating a strict carnivore diet Monday-Friday for about 5 months. Feel like crap on weekends when I “cheat” but my skin is healthier, my mood is much more even. Mental focus and sharpness is night/day difference and I no longer have sleep problems. I also lost 15lbs. So just from a ratio perspective: wildly increase your protein (fatty cuts and large portions) and maybe 2-3 cups of grain base products per week. Unbelievable difference.
