I'm not usually a fan of covers, but Adam is one of the few artists that can not only pull it off, but improve it. His voice seems to enter your ears, travel through your spine and radiate through your fingertips. We are all blessed to be able to hear such a heavenly sound.

My mom died last year around Mother’s Day. Growing up, I remember listening to Duran Duran’s wedding album and hearing this song all the time. I loved it then, and I still love it today. Today would be my mom’s birthday. She absolutely loved your music, Adam. There wasn’t a song she disliked of yours! This made me cry this morning because it’s like it’s a present from her. It reminds me of the good times and it is also something I could picture her loving so much. I appreciate this remake. It may take a while for me to not cry when I hear it because I’m forever going to think about my mom when I hear it, but I will cherish this for years to come!

I totally get what you are saying. Just reading your post brought a tear to my eye... well a few. I am so sorry to hear about your mum. How perfect for it to be released on her birthday. Keep listening to it and think of mum. If you cry, you cry. Its the love that you had for her coming through. I lost my Dad only 8 weeks ago, funeral was 2 weeks ago. I thought exactly the same. I ADORE Adam and for him to cover this song by my favourite band is just like a present from heaven. I think our special people connected and sent it down for us. Its a belief I hold very very dear. I had a terrible anxiety attack a little bit ago and remembered Adam released this. His voice always helps calm me down. I wound up just sitting in my car crying. I couldn't ever tell him how much he inspires me to follow my dreams and just how much I truly adore him. Such a wonderful person. Thank you Adam!🖤

"Ordinary World" is a song that I hold near and dear to my heart. I get very defensive whenever someone attempts to cover it. I say attempt because they step up to the plate and they strike out. This is the first cover that I have ever heard that actually moved me. The arrangement is superb and Adam's vocal delivery is one of his best. Way to go dude! You stepped up to the plate and you knocked it out of the damn park!

To cover a song by them it would need to be something bloody special and along comes my favourite solo artist ( by a long shot) He has done me ( and many other Durannies) very very proud. Being a Duranie for decades, I've never been thrilled when another singer tries to cover their songs... but this arrangement and Adam's vocals are insanely spectacular. I've loved and respected Adam and his talent since his run on Idol. Imo, there's nobody else whose vocal abilities come close to equalling the acrobatics of Freddie Mercury's, so that Brian and Roger can continue playing live shows full of crackling energy. Adam aces this amazing cover by giving it the care it deserves and, of course, displaying his killer pipes from start to finish. How fortunate are we to be alive at the same time as Adam? I am pre-ordering his album!

And I agree w/ @dannypost72, bc I can feel Siimon's grief whenever he sings about the loss of his friend, esp at the end when his voice soars to the heavens singing about every world is my world… It doesn't mean I think of it as ur wrong; it's just a disagreement. I also think AL sounds beautiful, just not better for my taste…

When my late Husband died in October 2018, I would play Duran Durans version. This take on the Song feels more intermit to the soul. Such a powerful and soft version from Adam and can see this version being more accepted at Funeral homes (that don't like modern pop music especially). Adam can be proud he's done another classic song justice ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Lord have mercy, this man's voice his lower register is sexy, sultry and smooth as silk with looks that will drive you insane. I love how the voice, piano and violins just all blend together that you get lost in them and the song comes alive. Thank you Adam you have out done yourself once again. I have followed Adam since Amer.Idol. He should of taken 1st place. But that is society for you. I absolutely love his singing. All his music. Best thing he did was leave the US. Look at him now. I am a 76 yr old women who has loved music all her life. He is one of the best. Awesome job ADAM!!

I'm listening to this amazing song, which I already loved so much from Duran Duran, and my faith is strengthened again that music can move people's hearts and souls in the deepest way... I didn't think there could be a more beautiful and better version of this song than the original, but here is the evidence that there is. 💖 Adam Lambert proved again that whatever music he touches, it becomes gold, even better, more beautiful and even more personal in his hands. The sensitivity with which he chooses the songs to cover proves above all that he is the most talented not only as a vocalist and songwriter. I don't understand why he is not in the first place among the nominees for the Grammy award. Thank you very much for this wonderful cover. 💖
