Charlie McAvoy took a clean hard hit in the corner from Adam Lowry. McAvoy just returned from a four game absence after taking a hit from JJ Peterka a few weeks ago. You can watch that video at the end screen. McAvoy did return to finish the game. If you watch the entire sequence, Nino Niederreiter came back into the Jets zone to back check David Pastrnak. Niederreiter fell and his stick hits Pastrnak in the face. Pavel Zacha’s stick clips Niederreiter in the face. So much carnage on that one shift. #nhl #nhldiscussion #hockey

I saw a clean hit against McAvoy. You can get injured from clean hits too. Or reinjure a prior injury. And Pasternak got hit in the face when both players were flat on the ice. An accident.

Jets have been a great organization since they came back. Big blues fan for context. Been watching the world juniors and they got some good high end prospects in the tourney it looks. Outside the bedards jets are the team that scares me most in the future

Clean hit to separate him from puck. The ones that aren't clean are for spite, long after the player has got rid of the puck. Change rule that allows that, and less injuries and fights. Wait, we love that 😮

Good McAvoy needs to take a few of these hits every game. He's one of the more sneaky dirty players in todays game. Notorious headshot artist. Plus it's always enjoyable watching Boston fall apart down the stretch.

I enjoyed the hit on both players, but seeing pasta get hit in the face by the stick hurt a lil bit. Not sure what the penalty would be. His stick wasn’t up high. They both fell. But still a stick to the face always sucks

A Jets took a stick to the face on the same play. Hate seeing that even when accidental. Clean hits are great for the fans. A player should not have to fight for playing the game. Those who don’t like hitting should play and watch figure skating.

Can't really do much when they're both flat on the ice and momentum swings you around. Likely happened so fast the ref didn't catch it and that's just part of the game. I don't know how that isn't a trip though? Was clearly more wrapping up his leg that caused him to fall than the initial bump.
