NBA commissioner Adam Silver said last night that he was 'shocked' when he first saw the latest Ja Morant video of the Memphis Grizzlies star appearing to flash a gun. Silver said the league is investigating the situation. Last night, Ja issued a statement that said quote: 'I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do. My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my actions. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself.' Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe react to the commissioner's comments and Ja's statement.

15:39 I disagreed here with Shannon. I’m not disrespectful any means I am extremely respectful to my parents and I actually gave up my career to look after my sick father for 3+ years now with no pay and I look to help my mom around the house as much as I can I just now stated to get paid GOOD lol but that’s not why I can talk to my mom and dad about ANYTHING. My mom and dad are the only two people I know I can talk to who will not judge me, who will not stop loving me, who will always tell me what I need to hear vs what I want to hear. That’s why I’m close enough to talk to them about anything. I talk more to my mom and dad then any of my friends or brother and sisters. Idk I just feel you can be close at with your parents but I do agree that most parents now in days want to be friends with their kid vs be their parents but best and believe not mine we close at but the respect is very much still there. I’m 23 and that would not stop my dad or mom from smacking me if I said something out of line (I’ve never did) but older Brothets/ sisters have so I know from see it lol.

I agree with you guys alot, but youre looking at it from the perspective of some homie, and not someone who cares about you more than life itself, the truest definition of a friend is what my dad is to me. @@SFXingful I don't know about that. Even otherwise good people will be bad parents if their priority isn't being a parent. Some life lessons aren't going to be happy and some truths are going to hurt...unfortunately some kids gotta learn that the hard way...and parents need to let them. Ffs where do you think Ja got the gun? Who do you think is cheering and encouraging this kind of behavior? Ja’s “friends” are the worst kinds of friends you could possibly have. His behavior pattern obviously shows how little he respects the league. If he won’t abide by the league standards, why allow him to remain in the league? In most real world careers, you do the same thing TWICE, you get your desk packed up and you’re updating your resume. Silver should kick him out the league and send a message to young stars that nobody is bigger than the league.
