Grandfather Missing 28 Years, New Evidence Unveils Shocking Clues (Aaron Toole)

We Searched for James Aaron Toole missing since 5/15/95 from Pansey, Alabama. He was last seen driving a Brown four-door 1984 or 87 Chevrolet Cavalier supposedly heading to Plant City, Florida to visit family. There had been no leads for 25 years until James wallet was found at a gas station 25 years later in Bainbridge Georgia where we begin our search.
More Details:
Toole was last seen in Pansey, Alabama on May 15, 1995. He told his granddaughter he wouldn't be there the next day to see her off the bus because he was going to central Florida to visit a sick relative for a few days. That night he went to work at the convenience store across the street from his home but left early a few hours into his shift.
He stopped by his granddaughter's home and had a brief conversation with his wife. That night, a relative passed him as he was driving north on Houston County Road 75. He was driving his brown four-door 1984 or 1987 Chevrolet Cavalier with the license plate number 38BLT66.
Toole never arrived in Florida and has never been heard from again, and his car has not been recovered. Little information is available in his case.

It did raise red flags for me…someone from that town knew when they went in that store exactly where to put that Mr. tooled wallet where people would think he’d been… somebody had to have murdered him & dumped him & his car, & I pray there’s evidence on the wallet as to who killed him…and they catch his killer …

Could he have dropped his wallet and it be kicked under shelving? They don't always move shelving around. Then it could have been hidden for years just to be found during a remodel.

Im from dothan al and i remember when he went missing and that river 90% of the time is running like that. Alot of cars been pulled out at the last ramp.

What id love to know is how does his wallet get found -at a gas station ! - 20 or more years later. What- no one noticed it there on the ground for twenty years?? That is something as mysterious as the rest of the story

I used to own a 1985 cavalier. Gas milage was about 250 to 300 miles per tank. It had a 10 galon tank.

You could also check with the historical society to see how high the water was back then. They may even have info on where old boat ramps were and where gaurd rails may not have been. Lot of research on the area can help narrow the search area down.

I use that boat ramp in Gordon all the time. I always thought it would be the perfect place for someone to dump a car. It's so steep and the water's plenty deep. When I first got my garmin that's the first place I looked.

I wonder if someone did something to him.. took his wallet and kept it all these years and 25 years later passed away and whoever came across it placed it at the location it was later found. Possibly didn’t want to implicate someone but wanted it to get back to his family?!? Can’t think of how else a wallet would turn up so many later!

I once went pulled into a store parking lot, parked and immediately upon opening my car door spotted a wallet on the ground. I took it into the store and staff looked inside. Very small town and the wallet belonged to a local person. Have to wonder why someone would find a wallet and not take action to return it to the owner asap.

If it’s his mind that caused him to leave his wallet…then he could be close by in water somewhere around that town a stroke could’ve been running a clot through the veins of his brain,and probably tried to think he was headed back home being panicky when his mind didn’t work right or something…

Interesting Bainbridge, GA, Fact: Increased use of crack cocaine in the late 1980s and early 1990s was associated with increased homicide and robbery rates. Large numbers of handgun carrying juveniles were involved in drug trafficking due to the great demand for crack. Recent decreases in violent crimes followed the abatement of the “crack epidemic.”

I would like to know what was in the wallet. Are there licenses or credit cards? If so, he would have gotten them replaced and there might have been records for that. It looks like some kind of foul play......Maybe someone feels guilty after all these years and turned in the wallet .

Nug that water is running to fast gor you not to have a lift jacket on. You should always wear a life jacket when in the water to be safe.

They should try to not dredge before sonar clears the river of possible cars or boats that haven't been cleared by local law enforcement, would that be too much with modern sonar?
