yes, since it is dry, it can be stored for up to 3-6 months..However, I make small batches (fresh is always better)

I have used Jaggery powder..you may use whole Jaggery or brick.i don't buy white sugar so replace it with jaggery and other healthier sweeteners

Ravneet ji good afternoon.I prepared the candy as per instructions posted on your video but the candies are soft in spite of keeping in fridge for 2 days.It tastes excellent but it is not turning into a hard candy

Thanks for watching and trying the recipe. The problem is with the consistency of the candy mixture. Take a drop of it in your hands and try makinge a ball of it. If the ball form, then stop cookiing further. If it doesn't, cook until the ball forms.

In fridge, it might get soggy. If you get the right consistency, then it will harden at room temperature too.

aap ne consistency check kia tha..ball test jo maine video mein dikhaya...ginger candy ko tab taq he cook karna hai....warna gudd ki wajh se wo hard hoti jayegii...hard kaise hai aap bata saktee ho? Kya suck nahi kiya ja sakta uskoo?

At least 30days ...store in an airtight container and they should stay fresh for longer...I will soon post ginger candies with honey ..they are relatively easier and yumm too

Absolutely dear.. Just do the test to ensure you have reached the right consistency.. It should form a ball in your hands or not melt in water.

Apne pani nai dala? Usko pehle hemdusta mei break karlo fir grind kar ke powder karo. fir powder form mei use karloo.. 1/4 tsp only... Else, powder mei water daalo Or fir cook karo

No, jaggery is not sugar. While sugar is highly processed, refined and bleached, which give it a whitish color, jaggery is unrefined form of sugarcane with minerals intact. The brown colour is attributed to its molasses and mineral content. However, jaggery and sugar have almost similar number of calories. Jaggery is not for diabetics. Hope that helps.

You may use raw cane sugar or date palm sugar or coconut sugar instead. Jaggery is sourced from sugarcane and is rich in minerals and molasses.
