Modern infotainment systems can be difficult to deal with. *yes, I upgraded all of my speakers and replaced the rear deck sub with a sub enclosure in the trunk, I deleted the center channel. *yes, I installed a 5-channel amp. * yes, I was able to completely remove the factory amp...all factory amp connectors tie directly into this unit. *and last but not least, a trip down the rabbit hole of car audio factory integration. First off, very nice gear for your speakers, very solid. The gear you listed does not include a mono-block amp. Are you bridging 2 channels of the 4-channel amp to drive your sub or driving the sub off of the factory amp? If the sub they installed is in the rear deck, then you are using your trunk space as a sub enclosure, not ideal. That sub you listed will perform better in a sealed or ported enclosure built to kicker's specs. The enclosure will sound just fine in the trunk. Don't forget that the 6.5 Morel woofers will handle some of the bass. * Honda factory sound system have attenuated bass signals and a fairly locked EQ. This is done by Honda to make the factory speakers sound their best. The LC7i would have helped to rectify the bass attenuation and bring your signals down to low-level, but would not help to flatten the EQ. A tunable EQ is where you will be able to tune your system and make those Morel speakers shine! How did they sum your audio signal? This will also make a difference to the final sound of your system. The AXDSPX-HN3 allowed me to remove my factory amp, have an adjustable 31-band EQ per channel, DSP, and integrate my own amps. Sorry I was so late to respond.

@@majorchubbs3647 thanks for the detailed reply, you are very observant with my hardware. that is a very good sign of a person knowing what they are talking about. my kicker key amp powers my 4 speakers. and the rear deck kicker sub www.crutchfield.com/p_206CWCD84/Kicker-44CWCD84.html is powered by the lowly factory amp. now am planning to power the rear deck sub with a mini amp but i can't find a decent sub which can only use a 10amp fuse. How did you manage to install a 5 ch amp to a 10 speaker sound system? Just double use a channel? (like front and rear left speakers have the same signal?)

What trim is your CRV? I have a 2020 EX and from what I have found the only trim that has an external amp is the Touring. The LX, EX, and EXL do not have external amplifiers...the radio powers all the speakers. I think Axxess has 2 versions of DSP for the Civic/CRV, one for the amplified models, and one for the non-amplified. If you don't have a CRV Touring, I think you want the HN2 version of the Axxess DSP.

From what I understand, those speaker wires in the Axxess harness connect back into the Honda wiring harness and go to each speaker in the car, so you would connect to your aftermarket amplifier outputs to those.

I called Metra and spoke with tech support. He claims there is no problem just turn the volume down to stop the echo. I asked if it mutes the music from all the speakers like the factory setup does, he said no it mutes the rear speakers only. He was annoyed with me so I didn't go any further with questions. I'm wondering if you go into the radio's service mode and disable the factory DSP settings so you can just use the high out put directly into the DSP built into the AudioControl D-6.1200

@@jimmyzez4359 This is an incorrect statement, on this call, the customer was told that the factory system mutes the rear channels when on a bluetooth call, however since the factory amplifier was doing this, the signal from the radio is not able to tell the DSP to do this. The AXDSPX-HN3 does not mute channels when on a bluetooth call. Axxess has checked in to reports of bluetooth issues before and found that turning the volume down while on the phone call reduced it. If issues still persist after this it is recommended to contact us at Techsupport@metra-autosound.com. If you felt the tech was short, I am sorry since this wasn't his intention.
