The cooler m.2 drives work best with this enclosure. Even SATA runs great for basic stuff but the highest speed m.2s can cause some heat on this enclosure.

Thanks. Yeah I found this to be good but it needs a cooler SSD to run best. I popped in SATA m.2 for close to 500 MB/s and works great

Craig, do you think 2017 iMac Pro base model for $800 without magic keyboard and mouse is a good deal? Of course with some small scratches here in there.

What are the specs etc? You might be able to find a 2020 27" iMac base for around that cost and you would get a few more years of updates. I guess it depends on how you want to use it but it seems like a good deal for a Pro model.

hi, silly question... when you plug this on the mac mini will it draw power form the mac itself? had experience with the satechi hub but even when i just plug a regular thumb drive it doesn't stay connected, esp. when coming from sleep. hope i'm making sense. thank you in advance! take care!

Yes it will take power from device. I can remember on that hub but some hubs allow you to connect to external power source too for extra power

You made me laugh so hard.... Imagine saying in Italian GiGi (Gee Gee) Mundo means world - Glue it together. The case colors are in line with Italian fashion. Makes sense to me.

Hy! Don't know if you still monitor the comments but I could use some help. Got this product from them and I seem to have some weird issues. Using the hdmi output, my laptop can share to a 4k tv but not to a 2k monitor (only 1080). And with my phone it shared to the same 2k monitor with the proper resolution, but to the 4k tv (only 1080). Kinda in reverse.

I would need to go back and check that but I didn't see those in my initial use. I would follow up with the manufacturer to see what they say or post questions on Amazon as people will answer them.

@@craigneidel Hey, really kind of you to answer. Unfortunately the manufacturer doesn't have a contact page. The front end code showed me that the link page that should provide you with the contract information redirects you to another product instead. And contacting them on Amazon/Instagram proved useless for me.

Im pretty certain SSDs only degrade from read and write cycles unlike hard drives

Yes, read and write cycles help determine possible life but I have seen SSDs that go 2 to 5 times the TBW with no issues so that number is just more of a warranty number I think.
