In this case, one boy is used as reference for this arrangentment. that’s why we used ‘1x4! ‘ which means 1 is the reference boy and another 4 is the remaining boys. This can related with the formula of (n-1)!. The 1 you deduct in this formula is the reference. In short, u can used both ways either the given formula or the way in this video. (n-1)!=1x(n-1)! eg; (5-1)!=1x(5-1)! 4!=1x4! Same goes to the girls if we used one girl as references. The result is still the same.
