Boss so the permutation with repetition same as independent event that we learn in Math Form4?

Hey supervisor! Yes it's consider as independent event just like your math in form 4. The first pick would not affect anything in your second pick. For instance, I keep ask you to pick a ball in front of you, even in your 10th pick, you still have same amount of choices, literally you not even know it's your 10th pick until I tell you so.

So factorial is only used for permutation without repetition, can you clarify my understanding?

Hello Amanda, yes you are right! As permutation without repetition, our available choices decreases along the way. That's why factorial (!) which is basically just reducing multiplication works here. But of course factorial also being used in different area other than permutation. Cheers! 👍
