Yeah I did that and that is the image I mentioned. Even though it is okay for some of the basic to medium level routing and switching, it lacks certain functionalities, especially if you learn some of the advanced technologies like DCI or MAC-VRF. For example, I noticed that the version that supports both of those functionalities is from 21.3 above, hence I wondered if there is a way to maybe download the official firmware (newer version) then convert it to qcow2 format. Nevertheless, I do appreciate the effort from your side and I hope that you will have more luck than I did :). Thank you again Jon.

​@@SirNigel85 Ah okay, I understand. So check this out, you can use the new vJunos Switch aka the virtual EX switch to implement the newer technologies like MAC-VRF, DCI, EVPN/VXLAN and so forth. And instead of two separate images for the RE and PFE, its a single appliance. I have a video on the channel that walks through the process of how to add it to EVE-NG. @@jongreenit I forgot to mention that one. You are correct about vEX, it does support MAC-VRF and it really is a step up in regards to the currently available vQFX. What I found interesting is that the only encapsulation type for DCI supported in vEX is MPLS and even though you can configure VXLAN as encapsulation type, you cannot commit configuration without Junos spitting out warning that only MPLS is allowed. I guess with all things considered, it's not a bad device to practice your lab with, I just wanted to see if you came across this vQFX issue. @@SirNigel85 No worries at all, try using the 23.2R1.14 version of the vEX appliance. Just did a test in my virtual lab environment and this image seems to allow me to use vxlan for the DCI encapsulation without any errors. Hope this helps.
