I appreciate your bravery in sharing your story and being vulnerable. Im 8 months in after diagnosis. I still drink most days. I rely on medical cannibas. I have severe ptsd, depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia amd migraines - and all of this has evolved into some agoraphobia. Im new to your channel and think maybe some day I'll be able to share my story too. You mentioned decisions - i realised my cognitive decline quite early in the process. Some days getting dressed (choosing what to wear) is extremely challenging. And all those things i once did without thinking are now of massive effort. Im surrendering to stillness. Learning what REST really means and learning to trust myself more. Peace and love (and strength) 🙏✨️🦋

I watched your other videos on burnout and I am going through literally the exact same thing and I have also been self medicating with alcohol for years. It’s a cycle that has to be broken from what I can make of it. I haven’t figured out how to beat it myself but I am determined.

Hey Nick, appreciate you watching the videos and for taking the time to comment. I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. Sending you much support. To be entirely honest though, at first I really thought I would cope and get though this as I have done with many other challenges in life. But it got to a point where I realised I needed some 'outside' help also. And even then its still tough. I really hope you have the support you need. Wishing you the best and stay intouch. I hope my videos in some way help.

Hi Andrej, Thanks for watching the video and for taking the time to comment. Yes, it has been some time since I posted this. And its been 2.5 years since I had a drink. Like everything, I've had my ups and downs and to be honest, there are things I miss about drinking especially in a social setting or over a good meal. But I'm proud of myself that I have just cut it out of my life. Nowadays I don't feel like I am 'missing out' as much as the early days. Appreciate your support. I am soon to start making some new videos about where I am at nowadays. Hope you will like them also. Thanks again!

I think, you are really couragous, you are showing how fragile the process is to heal. It is on an emotionel level, the healing has to start, so it is good that you dropped alcohol, because it can hinder you from feeling strong emotions. I believe from my own experience, the deeper i got into the understanding of compassion, and especially from my childhood regarding how lonely i felt and was, without any emotial support. I could then start slowly to learn from scratch to emotienel develop my own feeling of safety and an understanding of what i need emotienel. Sorry my english is not so good.
