I'm sure the girl would cry even more if she understood the stress and struggle her fish are potentially about to go through. You should be setting an example for fish keeping not making click bait at the expense of the koi. Lovely pond and you could've done things far more sensibly. I hope they are alright in the end

They are some bigguns, please get the right gear to handle them and please do not transport anymore koi in those tubs get some bags. You have got your work cut out now keeping your parameters in check now you are over stocked in such a new pond, good luck fellas👍

Mick im curious as to why the fish were not bagged for moving, that should of been a given tbh.. tubs really are not the way to go, and guys PLEASE get a koi net and sock. large koi and carp will bleed from the gills when knocked about ie: TUBS but heal fairly quickly, lovely fish by the way, just trying to give some helpful pointers

Sadly I reckon you guna loose a few of these fish. You should introduce few fish at a time really. Especially if that are big. That’s a small pond too. I’d expect a few jumpers due to stress. Don’t rush it and enjoy the little ones grow would be my advice!
@richardiasparo50262 жыл бұрын
Hi guys, as you are well aware by now, your way over stocked and under filtered. Amonia is going to go sky hi so feed very very little. Koi can go 2 weeks with no food at all. Let the filters catch up. Also think about re-homing some of the plain ones. Good luck

@robloxpro6770 Жыл бұрын
There is nothing stupid about this comment. Even if he was somehow able to keep the water quality at safe levels, koi are meant to grow anywhere between 24-52 inches. How do you think a total of 216-468 inches of koi would fit in a 1000 gallon pond? If all 9 of them somehow all reached their full size in this size pond, they will most likely feel very cramped in a pond that small.

Keeping Koi is a long learning process, even for me I learn every single day. The thing with making videos like this, is that there will be people out there who think what you are doing is right. Maybe not tomorrow but I think you will have some major problems with the tank and koi in the near future. Don’t get me wrong, Not here to hate but please do things right. And never transport koi again in plastic boxes plz 😅 ✌️
@harvindersinghuppal21622 жыл бұрын
there are many people who purchase koi outside dealers .. is there a minimum set of checks to prevent the risk of adding parasites or bacterial infections into your own pond? Both with or without a quarentine setup. Not sure if you have ever done a video on this topic.
@TheKoiPartner2 жыл бұрын
@@harvindersinghuppal2162 first you have to ask yourself where do I buy my koi? I only buy koi at a breeder of dealer. Second: always check the koi for parasites or other bacterial infections before you enter it to your quarantine pond. Third: always do multiple checks during the quarantine period, stress them to see if they have any potential bacteria or parasites and also for KHV. Last but not least: always check them again before entering the main pond and even after that. But there are so many ways to do it right and wrong…
