Very nice combination- I really like the Mecalac. Global is supposed to open a location in Helena, MT near me. I like the concept of having one machine that can function as a skid steer and excavator.

Excavator with the option for a grapple and a tree shear PLUS the speed of a skid steer and the better center of gravity... What a combination!

I was impressed with the Mecalac day 1 when I saw how they engineered the cage around the cab! The whole machine made good use of engineering software! That combination works great! Good choice!! 8) --gary

Always knew you gentlemen needed a feller/buncher. Congratulations, I doubt you'll miss cutting everything with a chainsaw.

Looks like it does a great job bunching those trees for the chipper.

Thank you shear is money on jobs like that

Pretty cool attachment for sure.

I like the shear, I've been eyeballing the mecalak for a while, I think it's a cool concept. I don't like the design of the hydraulic coupler where you switch between your different attachments. Is there a secondary locking mechanism that holds the attachment on or is it just that single hydraulic cylinder? I wonder if that's the only style coupler they offer?

That will rly help streamline alot of your buisiness. Alot easier on Hoss as well. Hoping we get to see his red dodge sometime as well 😊

I run that brand tree shear but without the grapple feature. Solid company. They just sold to another company recently and it’s hit or miss on assistance.

Man that’s slick

Nice attachment. That will give Pops a break from the chainsaw.

What great attachment for a smaller machine. Couldnt the logs be made into lumber or firewood?
@VBELTandSONАй бұрын
Not worth enough to ship. I did make some saw logs out of a few bigger trees. Several 33ft long logs that were shipped but not many

Looks like its working pretty good. What is the plan for the stumps. A lot of difference in how you and Lets Dig clear on opposite sides of the country. You are dealing with all of the hills and can't burn the brush like he does. But I would really like to see him in a Mec. Thanks for the videos.

The dymax shear is great, but a biojack 400 would look really good on there.

It's like pick up sticks, but vertically🎉🎉🎉🎉
@tonym2554Ай бұрын
Why don't you cut all that into firewood? Or team up with a firewood processor? Thinking about that option for myself.
@VBELTandSONАй бұрын
To much volume not enough firewood ppl anymore. We do to many jobs like this. The wood yard with be completely log jammed for what we do. How this company started was firewood.

I'm picturing something like an Arbrostroke 1000 on that.
@justinmoyer5314Ай бұрын
You should try a omef tree shear, cuts and grabs all in one motion
@VBELTandSONАй бұрын
I’ve seen those. I’m not sure how much I’d like one over this for the taller trees. I have 5 feet worth of attachment hold the trees vertical with this the Omef if less that half.
@justinmoyer5314Ай бұрын
I only cut up to 12 inch diameter, mostly smaller stuff though. You sure can make a lot of work for yourself in a short period of time with them
@mikejorgensen1681Ай бұрын
Can you get a delimping attachment for that machine too. Would be easy because of the piles
@VBELTandSONАй бұрын
The chipper delimbs these trees awesome hah
@shawndmiles6747Ай бұрын
Yes they make processing heads small enough for mini x. I also ran across a duel use shear attachment that you can unbolt shear blade and then you have a grapple.
@travisgilbert841611 күн бұрын
@@VBELTandSONIs 12" about the max diameter for this? How does the Mec do on steep ground? Have you tried the steel tracks on one? Wasn't sure if there was enough of an advantage when it gets hilly and loose. Love the videos!!
