Seeing that soot fly towing reminds me of me last week haha. Took a load of logs to the mulch company the next town over, they’re up a pretty steep grade, not thinking I grabbed 3rd when I probably should have stayed a little lower haha we were blacking out all the yards going up that hill lol

Phatshaft turbo upgrade made mine a dream towing machine

On my 95 12v w/48RH, stock plate, the wheel slightly turned up and a needle valve on the wastegate vac line. Max boost and EGTs are 20# and 1100f. It works fine for me. I have an 06 2500 as well but unless I’m heavy hauling, I prefer driving the 12v.

I have an edge and set the exhaust gas to 450 before the engine will shut off. I can turn it off and take the key out but it runs until the temp drops. Keeps from coking the turbo. So far so good.

I really enjoy your videos. Just a couple comments..... We need to see more V-Belt action. That is, if he'll let you. LOL. Second, of all the mods you do I have yet to see any turbo mods. I know there is a wastegate mod comming. I may have missed any other. I installed a "Wicked Wheel ll" a few years ago and it improved my low end a great deal on my 6.0 Ford. I have a pair of 12 valves in my boat that I haven't done yet because it will involve about $2k in propellor mods. Not only did the lowend improve but my fuel milage improved.Have you tried one? They are about $230 delivered. They may give you one to try and comment on. I've installed 3 of them now and each truck has improved. Glad to see Grandma's truck starting to take shape. 94 with an untouched fuel system slowly building a plan to wake it up some.

When I got my 95 12v it had no fuel plate at all and I drove it like that for while til last week when I put a 100 fuel plate in it which is one step down from a 0

I think the G56 really attributes to low egts... so many gears its hard to lug it. My stock 94 has higher egts than my 98 with factory stick shift trucks "215hp" injectors #10 plate.

I have a 96 ram 3500 12v cummins I’ve redone head gasket, head studs , 60lbs valve springs k27 turbo , exhaust manifold 4k gsk , put haven’t touched timing are afc housing does it seem to work really good? Is it worth doing?

Now modify, get the right strength spring for your boost psi, & adjust /tune the AFC. 😉 You probably could have gotten all the fuel you needed by just doing that & sliding the stock/ existing fuel playe fully forward (it's just a max stop in that position with #0 & #100 plates. Not much less with other plates.) The afc is where nearly all the fuel control is.😉😎

My 24V cruises over 600 haha. Doesn’t get much above 1350 though. Not too bad for 6X.011 injectors and a K27

Funny i tow up to about 15,000 with my 94 f150, 300 l6 tuned up to about 225 hp. My 65 f600 ive had 30,000 or more behind it, 330 ft block, 165 hp at 3,600 rpms. You can tow any more but you can go alot faster.

I’m running a #10 plate in my 97 factory 5 speed 12 v pinched of waste gate 32 psi of boost and 18 degrees of timing. She gets a bit hot if you let her have it 😂

Why buy a 0 plate? Grinder is free and plate just needs thrown in the trash. Run a k27 turbo with pdd 5x012 inj nozzles put 055 delivery valves advance timing to 16 with no head studs and have a bad as truck it will pull like crazy.

Crank that star wheel all the way, you should be getting 30psi

For a wastegate what I did was use a trampoline spring instead of the actuator. Then you can adjust it.
