Adding an Extra Gas Tank to the Generator

I hopefully figure out how to hook up another gas tank to the generator to keep it running longer. This literally keeps me up at night while camping.

Damn it...ive laid on the couch and thought of this idea ,before I went and tried it I searched and your video popped up... It's not your idea man it's mine...hahahaja... just kidding I did want to comment on your block porch columns. Did you do those? It's fantastic!..those are not rotting out... I assume the columns are rebared and filled.. I've always thought it was stupid to continue building in a way that has been proven to fail over time, why don't we use block for these applications... Obviously we have similar thought paths...pretty cool...thanks for posting your video..no one one this earth is gonna reinvent the wheel..I could ask the old farmer down the road how to do this and I bet he could tell me over a cold beer...

Panelis power sports sells a kit with a fuel pump for most generators. I have 2 preadator 3500 and it works great

A fuel pump will definitely help.

Thanks for the info I did this on my motorized bike I got the regular tank in the front and I have an extra little tank on the back rack and it works

Thanks for the video, have you had issues with gas leaking from gen? Great video it’s nice to see pol speaking my language on you tube haha.

No issues with leaking, however it does stall randomly every once and a while. I will have to figure out a better ventilation process I believe.

I believe I have the same generator. I was wondering if your idea had been put to the test so to speak. Considering doing the same thing with mine. Thanks

It works, I still need to figure out a better ventilation system for the tank. It runs fine on a light load, but it doesn't like running at higher rpms

Does the vent line suck in air instead of pushing out air?

I'm no expert but I believe it allows air to escape. Either way it keeps the generator happy and running.

No... you have a gravity fed carburetor. It won't pull fuel. Also if the cap isn't vented it has to be vented somehow or there would be a vacuum lock in the tank.
