Depending on the adapter, I notice the same issues with Bluetooth, although I find the built in Bluetooth on my Onkyo receiver, it sounds a lot better than the Bluetooth adapters I’ve used

try connect the bluetooth reciever to the DAC you bought, curious to see if it makes the sound better.
