Maintaining 18 Episode 31
This project sees the installation of bricks along a walkway. The walkway connects the porch to the driveway. It is bordered by a flower planting area. Adding bricks is an excellent way to embellish the walkway and make it wider. The thinking is when a mulch border is added, the walkway will appear narrow, unappealing, and probably will feel confined for multiple people walking in opposite directions.

Graveeds - A mashup of gravel and weeds. In this case, the gravel is in an unwanted place. Weeds are plants in an unwanted place. What do you think?
The video details challenges encountered to complete the project and how they were resolved. One detail not mentioned is, one bag of cement was used, and there was some leftover to fill a 2 feet x 6 inches and 1-inch deep area, 0.08 cubic feet. The walkway is 14 feet at its left and 16 feet at its right and took 91 bricks. The project was completed over two days but one day is enough for two persons diligently working without setbacks.
Something to consider if taking on this project, a place to put the soil excavated is needed. At Maintaining 18, the soil was put in the garden area to fill a low spot elsewhere on the property.
