I served in the Navy, in the early 2000’s. I was stationed in San Diego and we had those do it yourself automotive bays too!! Glad to see they’re still a thing!! Learned a lot in those bays

Awesome I just ordered 20*10 Fuel typhoons with 35*12.5 r20 ridge grapplers from them this morning they are arriving by the 22nd today is the 3rd. I’m super stoked

Wow, they really updated the hobby shop. When I was there, it only had one lift. The bays had jacks and jack stands. I spent quite a few hours there doing some wrenching.

Great looking setup. How close is the tire to the upper control arm with that tire and wheel setup? Looking at the same tire with a 0 offset 17” wheel.

@@TheBlueGarage I just got a stock 2021 trail boss from Michigan...looking at different tire/rim combos. What are your thoughts about 34's or 35 x 11.5's on these with the stock 2" lift? Seems like a few people are doing it and it works.

Great set up! I have a question. The original wheels you had on were 20s , does it affect anything by going down to 17s?

Did you have to use the 3/8 wheel spacer with those rims to fit over the brake caliper. Awesome looking truck.

Looks great, thanks for sharing! To fit 35’s did you have to lift more than the standard TrailBoss leveling kit for the 35’s to fit? I’m interested in 35’s too on my TB but not sure if I’ll need an additional lift??

I just don’t think spacers are the long term answers. I don’t have anything against them though.

Hey Blue Boss, I have some questions for you. So did you have to place any spacers to push those 35s out? Any wheel rub when turning (I'm guessing, that's the reason why you modified the front mud flap)? Does your Boss have a leveling kit added (if so, how many inches added to the front and rear)? Aside from the leveling kit (if kit added), did the 35s raise the truck up some? How much total lift? Thanks brother....

No spacers, and yes I have some rubbing now. I went 8 months without having any issues, which is random. The rubbing is minor and I did some slight trimming to reduce it. I have the ReadyLift SST adding 2” to the front and 1” to the rear. Going from the stock 33’s to the 35’s I also gained another 1” overall.

@@TheBlueGarage Mine is the white frost tricoat which is a pearl looking white. So we are doing the following: 6” lift 17” Fuel Shok wheels (black) -18 Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12s Paint matched bumpers Paint matched door handles Paint matched GMC decals Removing all other badging 15% tint up front. 5% rear. Removing running boards Blacking out grill & mirrors.

@@ChaseWalling sounds like you’ve got it all planned out. I did a lot of the same on my end, except instead of paint matching, I deleted all the chrome with Black.

Happy for you. They look absolutely great, your bowtie looks tough. If I may offer some constructive criticism for your videos; be mindful of music volumes, The start was pretty loud, so I turned down my headphones, but when you were speaking I had to turn them back up.

Great look. How do you think this would fit without the additional 2” lift you added? Would you get more rubbing than just the mud flap you mentioned? Cheers!

Thank you! I think you would have to do some serious trimming without a lift. Custom Offsets was able to tell me, based on my lift and setup at the time, what would and would not fit. Made things super easy for me. This was also my first time ever throwing bigger tires on a truck so they definitely helped with my lack of experience.

@@TheBlueGarage You just have to remove the inner half of the mudflap. Just Google trail boss mudflap mod and it shows how to cut them

Thats awesome dude. i got trail boss 2020 with Ready lift 1.75" and Mickey Thomson 295/70/R18 BAJA AT , Do you think with these wheel the tires will fit without touching the upper arm ? right now i got spacers .

If you are still running the stock rims your offset is like +28, thus the need for spacers. On a 0 offset set up like how you shouldn’t need them

It didn’t change anything with the power, but I definitely think the Ridge Grapplers ride way better than the stock 33’s.

I personally didn’t experience any issues on my end, I can’t guarantee that you won’t. But I also don’t think that you would have any issues.

Thank you! Yessir, already did that. Simple fix on the headlights. I didn’t show it again in this video, but did in my lift install video. Adjusting the speedometer is super easy with the Pulsar LT.

@davidfajardo9244 adjust the headlights for the added lift/ride height gained from going from 33’s to 35’s. Then recalibrating the speedometer to match a larger set of tires.

@davidfajardo9244 if you don’t adjust your headlights, you will just blind the people in front of you. If you don’t recalibrate your speedometer with a different tire size, your actual speed could be a couple of MPH off from what the speedometer is reading.

I don’t have a full size (35”),so I kept the stock under the truck. Even though I can’t use it. I’ve seen guys fit a 35 under there though.

I have the ReadyLift SST, adding 2” to the front and 1” to the rear. My 17’s fit fine, some slight rubbing thought. I went over 8 months before it started rubbing. Which is strange.

Thanks, at first it didn’t rub at all. Idk why but it just started rubbing on the passenger side on the back side of the wheel well. I removed the brackets behind the front and rear sides of each wheel well, then just tucked it all back. The wheels are 17x9 -12mm.

I just tried looking them up on their site, I don’t think they carry the Fuel Block 43’s anymore. 17x9 -12mm. But the tires are Nitto Ridge Grappler 35x12.50R17LT.

No major problems with the truck itself. We were in 2 minor accidents in 2023, got the truck fixed and traded it in for a new 2023 Silverado ZR2. But never had any issues with Big Blue.

Not sure if you have added wheel adapters at a later date but I did not see that you had in this video. Sick build but this is such a crucial low cost step that can’t be skipped.
