In today's video, I added STP Synthetic Oil to my 2018 Hyundai Elantra! STP Synthetic Oil additive is suitable for addition at or between oil changes. I usually use this product to top off oil when only a few ounces is needed to top off the oil and to also revitalize the additives in the oil supply.

Perhaps the best thing is she seems to be genuinely down to earth. Tall - beauty - brains - personality - athletic - funny, but down to earth most of all. Yeah, believe it or not, that funnel is a classic. Lots of us guys have done it just that way. Or just bombed it in without a funnel at all. In the early 80s I had a Datsun 240Z that had a chronic leak under the valve cover gasket. I got to where I could bomb in a quart in a crosswind and never spill a drop.

Good video but if you want to make sure that it is the correct level you should have pulled the dipstick out again and checked the level. It's great to see that someone from your generation isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. I love the hands on content that you do.

It was so close that it wouldn’t have mattered! I wanted to put a bit in the engine since it was a slight bit low. When it is low like that, we usually add a smidgen of oil treatment instead of oil in case there is a leak or something that might be able to be addressed with the oil treatment.

Not trying to hurt the mood here but you didn't add oil. You added Oil "treatment". That's not for topping off low oil. It's to be added to your oil at an oil change. Otherwise great video!

Rules are meant to be broken! When we need to add a bit of oil, most of the times we add oil treatment. My dad has 18 vehicles and about 100 lawn mowers (no kidding!) and they all run and he has used this technique since he was a young kid…Probably won’t be making many changes to the process, but I appreciate the advice! Might be because the oil is such a very low viscosity. Ours doesn’t use much at all, but over an oil change, there are times when a few ounces may be needed to keep it full Thanks for stopping by! Funnels have a funny way of attracting dirt and being very messy once stored no matter what we do. The paper funnel always seem to come through in a pinch. We have so many funnels and always keep them in bags in the work vehicles, but in the newer cars, we try to keep clutter to a minimum and use what we have.
