The bible says sabbath was a sign between Israel and God under the Mosaic covenant. We are under a covenant. The sabbath was only given to ancient Israel under the temporary Mosaic covenant. Context is king.

You are resting in salvation and in His redemption and new covenant everyday nonstop! There for Sabbath observance is allowed, and physical rest beneficial, but no longer required unto salvation and right standing with God. 3.Colossians 2:16-17: - "Therefore let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the substance belongs to Christ." - This passage teaches that the Sabbath and other ceremonial laws were a shadow pointing to Christ, who fulfills their true meaning. The law can only chase a man to calvary, and no further. 4. Romans 10:4: - "For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes." - Christ's coming brings an end to the Law as a means of attaining righteousness, which includes the Sabbath laws. We are saved by faith and by faith alone, not of our works so that no man can boast in his own ability, that is self-righteous. Good works and good fruit is not unto salvation, but is a result of our salvation, being filled and led by the Holy Spirit, grafted into Jesus Christ. 5. Galatians 3:24-25: - "So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian." - The Law, including the Sabbath (sign of covenant with the tribes of Israel), served as a guide until Christ, but now everyone from all nations (pas ethnos) who comes to faith in Christ are justified by faith and not by the works of the Law. These scriptures collectively teach that Jesus fulfills the Sabbath by offering a deeper, spiritual rest and freedom from the works of the Law, inviting believers to rest in His finished work on the cross.

Hebrews 4 says "Today" is the Sabbath rest for those who enter in. Every day is "today."

@@kimartist hmm yes I can see where you are confused, cause it can seem like they were talking about that time when they fleed then However, if we diligently pay attention to what Jesus was commanding us in Matthew 24:20 about “pray that your flight is not on the sabbath” If we read the next verse, The very next verse after Matthew 24:20, which would be Matthew 24:21 -it’s says “For then there shall be great distress,such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.” So that being said, that has yet to happen -So if we listen to Jesus and what he commands us we should still at this very moment, be praying our flight is not on the sabbath or in winter -like he told us to in the verse above THUS, Jesus was implying the Sabbath day is still in effect. And it is for everyone, not just Jews. When Yahshua read Isaiah 61:1 proclaiming the favourable year of Yahweh, he said "today this scripture is fulfilled מלא in your hearing" Luke 4:16 - 21. He fulfilled Isa 42:1 as stated in Matt 12:18 "Here is My Servant, whom I have chosen, My beloved, in whom My soul delights. I will put My Spirit on Him, and He will proclaim justice to the nations." Yahshua fulfilling the law doesn't replace Yahweh as our Father, but provides the means by which we can stand before God blameless.

The Bible includes 8 Covenants: Edenic, Adamic, Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Land, Davidic, and New. The first three were made with all nations to come, i.e. Gentiles, as they were made before Israel existed. It could even be argued that the Abrahamic Covenant was made with a Gentile, as the nation of Israel (Jacob's descendants) came two generations later. Thus, it is inaccurate to say God never made any covenant with Gentiles.

Like how JESUS kept saying to Peter that He had to go to the cross, Peter tried to spot him and JESUS said get behind me Satan. Also later in acts 15:10 Peter says why do you test God by trying to put a yoke upon the gentile disciples that our fathers nor we could bear. This yoke includes many things about the old covenant including food laws. And also Paul had to rebuke Peter for playing a hypocrite and it says hes was living as a gentile until some Jews came around. That would of also implied he was eating with them, gentiles didnt have these food laws so eating some unclean animals would of not been a problem for them or Peter at that time. Because if the Old Covenant dietary restrictions are still in effect under the New Covenant, then in this vision, Jesus commanded Peter to break the Mosaic law and sin! Even accounting for the symbolic nature of the vision, we have a command by Jesus to do something lawless. And if the food laws were still in effect, then the vision also includes Jesus telling a lie. Because His statement that God has made those animals clean would be untrue. RLS

That is incorrect RLS, we see that God had cleansed the koinos in verse 15 not akathartos, so now we know that God was referring to the animals considered to be defiled, God didn't respond using akathartos because akathartos can't be restored to a state it never was, therefore Christ didn't command an unlawful thing nor tell a lie, Peters response is obviously based on him not understanding the vision at that moment, so it makes sense he would respond using both koinos and akathartos.

I certainly don't put Paul over Jesus. Paul is only a servant and apostle of Jesus, who is Lord. But don't forget that Jesus said this about the Apostle Paul: “This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel” (Acts 9:15). Many unbelievers (Hebrews 3) do not care about Jesus giving them rest through believing the gospel (Hebrews 4) in the New Covenant (Hebrews 8). All food laws , ceremonial laws and sabbath laws are done away with, only the moral laws stand. @6969smurfy.. I fully agree with you…just want to add one thing..nowhere does our Father in Heaven ask as to reform or protest against Babylon, we are always told to leave and He will take us over the Jordan just like Abraham and the Israelites Got Torah Got Truth

Study church history instead of just believing what u were told. So many myths spread about constantine in torah movement which actual historical facts refute!

The Scriptures enforce the religious observance of Saturday, a day which we [the Catholic Church] never sanctify.” Again, “The Catholic Church, … by virtue of her divine mission, changed the day from Saturday to Sunday” (The Catholic Mirror, official publication of James Cardinal Gibbons, Sept. 23, 1893). “Protestants do not realize that by observing Sunday, they accept the authority of the spokesperson of the Church, the Pope” (Our Sunday Visitor, February 5, 1950). "of course the Catholic Church claims that the change [Saturday Sabbath to Sunday] was her act... And the act is a mark of her ecclesiastical authority in religious things” (H.F. Thomas, Chancellor of Cardinal Gibbons). The Catholic Church claims that “the church is above the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance is proof of that fact” (Catholic Record of London, Ontario Sept 1, 1923). Remember the whole of Christianity in world was Catholic/Orthodox until Luther came along..I have more historical documents ,incl church fathers to prove this .

Later, as Christianity grew, church leaders wished to increase the numbers of the church. In order to make the gospel more attractive to non-Christians, pagan customs were incorporated into the church's ceremonies. The custom of Sunday worship was welcomed by Christians who desired to differentiate themselves from the Jews, whom they hated because of the Jews' killing/ rejection of the Savior. The first day of the week began to be recognized as both a religious and civil holiday. By the end of the second century, Christians considered it sinful to work on Sunday. The Roman emperor Constantine, a former sun-worshiper, professed conversion to Christianity, though his subsequent actions suggest the "conversion" was more of a political move than a genuine heart change. Constantine named himself Bishop of the Catholic Church and enacted the first civil law regarding Sunday observance in A.D. 321; On the venerable day of the sun let the magistrate and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country however, persons engaged in agricultural work may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain growing or for vine planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost. - Schaff's History of the Christian Church, vol. III, chap. 75. Note that Constantine's law did not even mention Sabbath but referred to the mandated rest day as a "the venerable day of the sun." Four years later, in A.D. 325, Pope Sylvester officially named Sunday "the Lord's Day," and in A.D. 338, Eusebius, the court bishop of Constantine, wrote, "All things whatsoever that it was the duty to do on the Sabbath (the seventh day of the week) we (Constantine, Eusebius, and other bishops) have transferred to the Lord's Day (the first day of the week) as more appropriately belonging to it." Instead of the humble lives of persecution and self-sacrifice led by the apostles, church leaders now exalted themselves to the place of God!
