Her writing was more complex with her earlier albums. "Go easy on me baby, i was still a child, didn't get a chance to feel the world around me" is really not a lyrical miracle especially knowing she was practically a grown woman in that period she supposedly sings about 🤷‍♂️...or "when I call you never seem to be home" lol...if it wasn't Adele you would think it could have been written by any teenager out there

“It matters how this ends” really cut deep when that song come out. I knew that my relationship was ending, and I was so in love with my boyfriend, but our relationship was so toxic, we couldn’t stay together. I didn’t want it to end badly. My relationship with my first real love had ended pretty brutally and it’s a scar than never really goes away. I was terrified of going through another bitter breakup. I felt like our relationship deserved better than that after everything that we had been through.
