I had the opportunity to install a lift kit on a customers 2008 Subaru Outback. This cool kit came from Anderson Design and Fabrication and it included everything needed to lift the car 2 inches.
I also installed a set of larger A/T tires and did an alignment after installing the kit to ensure that everything was setup correctly.
This kit looks great, and the customer is super happy with the job!

Best ADF lift kit install video on youtube, the only error I spot was when you said H goes toward the front, H actually goes toward the hood, but I knew what you meant, and you should be able to read the logo when looking at them from the front of the car with the hood up.

I watched the video through and should’ve taken note of all tools used. Is there a condensed list of the necessary tools? I might rent air tools for convenience but should have all the others. I’d like to do this on my 05 as a project with the hubs!

Hi mate Matt from the outback of Australia 🦘 good to see you working on a Subaru outback I've gone through several of them I've even hit kangaroos at 120 k's an hour and they still keep working I get half a million ks out of them I don't service them or really look after them I've even put them in dams and then got them going they're one good car just don't tell my grandparents that I like a Japanese car

Great video, I'm about to buy a Legacy (I can't find a good Outback with manual transmission and Lo/Hi where I live) and plan to lift it just 1-2". I really appreciate that you use a tripod/stand for the camera, many videos like this have a friend holding the camera and it wobbles, gets out of focus, etc. New subscriber here 😁

@@ace7912 yup, I bought a Legacy 2005 with Hi/Lo. Since I later got the chance to upgrade to a newer daily driver, I went for a 2014 Forester XT, and they only come with CVT as far as my limited knowledge tells me. I am super satisfied with the XT tho, with a Stage 1 chip tune I got a "WD-40 vehicle" that does everything for me. DD to/from work in any weather, some light off-roading, overtaking in a jiffy, room for Great Danes, and more 😁 The Legacy is now our backup car, and I have a set of 30mm pads to get more clearance that'll go on in the summer -24. Pretty awful (IMO) weather here in Sweden now, but I feel rock steady on any surface with my Forester 👌. Happy Holidays!

Pretty awesome, second time watching the video to familiarize myself with the process as I just ordered the same ADF kit. I previously ordered new KYB shocks and the KING springs and your video helped with that installation. Let the customer know that when it's time for new struts to get the rear from the 00-04 as they are stronger. The combo of the new KYB's and KING springs give it that nice OE+ feel, comfortable on the road and more capable when needed

I got a 2000 Subaru Legacy GT , e tune, AWD, twin turbo, Japanese import, right hand drive. Figured out how to put a 5 inch lift on, got 265/70/17(31 inch tire), going to have to cut a bit with the ol' grinder but I'm fine with that, car is a write off but still in good shape should be sweet when it's done

I followed your instructions and the installation was not at all as difficult as i anticipated. The only issue was i noticed a knocking coming from the rear and found that the exhaust was hitting the support where it passed under the diff. Mine is an outback xt and has dual exhaust. That might be the issue.
@FarpointRestorationsAndRepairs

That could be the difference of why it was hitting a bit. Thanks for the information.

The kit I bought was chosen specifically because it doesn't raise the car enough to mess with the axle angles. Any more than 2 inches and there starts to be vibrations or worse on these models.
