Greetings, the BIOS flasher w/ Test clip to flash BIOS and EEPROM chips is an interesting resolve I being clueless such a fix existed. Considering I've been spending endless hours attempting to normalize my corrupt BIOS that invaded my gravity standing sideways. I have a dysfunctional Lenovo YOGA 730-15IKB Laptop, question; Are the flasher Test clip Devices universal for all computers or device specific for specific model computers? Not sure if I missed something, but I didn't see it reflashed. You just backed up the hex file. What if the hex is currupted, can we just download a bios hex from the Internet and flash it to the cmos?

Sometimes on board it’s not working due to volt and. Amp u can add power to MBD and try to read may be it can !! Be careful while u add power a small mistake can short MBD !

Hello Satishbhai -- Thanks for a very informative video using CH341A Series Burner Chip 24 EEPROM BIOS Writer -- can you reset the passwd lock after using CH341A -- and then re-flash the BIOS without removing the BIOS chip from the board. Basically, reversing it. Thanks in advance.

Not if you just copy and reflash the same bios but download a clean bios file from manufacturer or edit the bios file which is not easy

I can see that You have the Black version of the board where most of the time it sends 5V to power line instead of the 3,3V that most of the chip required. There should be apply the 3,3V Fix If I am not mistaken.

Nothing needed use Ch341a it’s most common ! There is jumper which when u shift gives 5v and by default it comes with 3.3v set !!

@@Aditya11ttt With all due respect and Your knowledge ... there are some versions that give correct 3.3V output but some give 5V output. According to manual the jumper is used to switch between programming mode and TTL mode on the device. The easiest way is to test the pins with multimeter. My purpose of the comment was not to argue ... just advice to people who got version with 5V output as they are on the market.

Sure u should check !! Always to be on safer side ! If it’s Ch341a original 99.999999999% it will have 3.3v by deafult ! Because we sale 100+ pcs in a year no issues !!

@@Aditya11ttt he just observed that you used the wrong voltage, this programmer is for 3.3v and 5v chips, and has to be used with an adapter for 1.8v chips. You could have damaged this chip by not using an adapter.

I know that I am 2 years late, but as I was searching for this I found that it's not causing something because volt can't damage only the current and the current is low soo no problem. And at time the programmer communicates with the chip then it will set it automatically into 3,3v, soo no problem exists.

@@Aditya11ttt You're right there. It's just that in your video the winbond chip was described as 1.8v by the programmer(8:50) so I was surprised. Now, I just checked the spec sheet on that chip and it is 3v. Thanks for this guide. I'm new to ch341a though I've had other experience jtagging and with arduino uno.

hp probook 440 g7 core i7 need help plz i cannot find the chip to replace and the warranty is also ended..i tried all steps given on hp website for recovering or flashing bios support but nothing my laptop is stucked in bootloop turns on and off just showing hp logo flash lights than reboots not going in bios basically a windows updates caused the issue it updated bios also in drivers and now im stuck with it no help from hp support they are just saying to replace the board which is not available and too costly i just need to flash the bios

My bios chip is labeled W25Q80DVSIG but the list of detected ic in neopprogrammer are: 1. W25Q80BL 2. W25Q80BV 3. W25Q80JV Could you please help me identify the right one from the list

@@Aditya11ttt You're right. I found another 8mb bios chip labeled FM25Q08 on the board. My problem now is how to flash this bios because the bin file I downloaded is 32mb and I have found two bios chips(W25Q80DVSIG and FM25Q08). Guidelines on how to program will greatly help. Thanks for usual assistance
