In this video I'll show how I create an adjustable crossbody strap with no raw edges and no fold-over on the visible end. There's very little bulk and it's easy to sew using a domestic sewing machine.
You'll need the following materials:
* Cotton or canvas interfaced with medium weight woven or non-woven interfacing: 2 pieces at 2" x 31"
* Cork/Vinyl/Leather: 1 piece at 2" x 54"
* 2 x 1" Swivel Clasps
* 1 x 1" Strap Slider
* Thread suitable to your sewing machine
* OPTIONAL foam 5/8" x 54" (join scraps together with a zigzag stitch)
The fabric used in this tutorial is Alison Glass Rainbow Feather Night which is available from most sewing shops: alisonglass.co...
The cork used is "tobacco" coloured cork from MB Cork: www.mbcork.com...
For hardware, check out the following suppliers:
* UK: bagmakingbling...
* USA: siahswagbags.com/
* Australia: www.onlinebags...
* Canada: emmalinebags.com/
* Europe: serialbagmaker...

Couldn't for the life of me work out how this would be adjustable until you got to the end... 😄. Also didn't know you could sew towards a hump jumper. In my defence, I taught myself how to sew during lockdown so it's all a bit hit a miss 😆

Ive done something similar for wristlet straps but will totally be doing this for ALL the straps now. Just hit me while looking at another bag pattern, you could even to this but with the steps for the first buckle on a ring for and non adjustable shoulder strap and really clean up the strap ends. Like the Lomexa. You would have to deal with the straps during the rest of the build but I think it would be worth it.

Hello, thank you so much for your tutorials, i love it !!! The idea is super to use foam inside the strip. When you will join the ends of the foam you can use " Marti`s Choice fusible Tape " It comes in 1 inch wide or 2 inch, you can iron it on the joining ends of thr foam. It works very well !!!!I send greetings from Germany to you, Dagmar
