olive (অলিভ) বাংলা ভাষায় “জলপাই” একই গোত্র (species) এর বৈজ্ঞানিক নাম Olea europaea, meaning 'European olive' (ইউরোপের অলিভ) কিন্তু এই ফল উত্পন্ন হয় Mediterranean basin (ভূমধ্যসাগরী অঞ্চল) দেশগুলোতে। এই অলিভের ৬ ধরনের subspecies আছে। ল্যাটিন শব্দ “ŏlīva” (ওলিভা) থেকে ইংরেজী অলিভ। আরবী ভাষায় একে বলে “ٱلزَّيۡتُونُ” (জাইতুন) মহান আল্লাহ আল-কোরআনে এই জাইতুন বৃক্ষের প্রশংসা করেছেন “أو الشجرة المباركة أو زيتونة” (সুরা নুর আয়াত ২৪) আরবী ভাষায় শব্দটি বহু বচনে “زَيْتُون” (জাইতুন) এক বচনে “زيتونة” (জাইতুনা) বলে। এই ফল থেকে উৎপাতিদ তৈলকে আরবী ভাষায় “زَيْت” (জাইত) বা olive oil আল-কোরআনে মহান আল্লাহ “জাইতুনের” প্রশংসা করেছেন, তা জন্ম নেয় সিনাই পাহাড়ে। ইরশাদ হয়েছে, ‘আর এক বৃক্ষ যা সিনাই পাহাড় হতে উদ্গত হয়, যা আহারকারীদের জন্য তেল ও তরকারি উৎপন্ন করে। ’ (সুরা মুমিনুন, আয়াত ২০) 🫒পরিবেশগত কারণে বাংলাদেশের “জলপাই” ভূমধ্যসাগরীয় জলপাইয়ের সঙ্গে হুবহু না মিললেও ঔষধি গুণে কিছুটা মিল পাওয়া যায়। রাসুল (সা.) ইরশাদ করেছেন, ‘তোমরা (জাইতুনের) তেল খাও এবং তা শরীরে মালিশ করো। কেননা এটি বরকত ও প্রাচুর্যময় গাছের তেল। (তিরমিজি, হাদিস ১৮৫১)

Try serpme Turkish breakfast, among them of course try menemen, Trabzon specific kuymak, sahanda sucuklu yumurta. Try the kaymak, honey with fresh bread there will be a burst of flavours together. Try the white cheese /beyaz peynir with fresh cucumbers and tomato as the locals the combination together will be really nice. Try the simit with cream cheese. Try the homemade jams in the breakfast menu with cheese it will be good. If you want to try some other kind of bread in breakfast try- pişi, gözleme(plain or potato), try ciğ börek( with cheese filling), börek , poacha or açma ( keema or potato or olive ) For English breakfast in that area you can check out Mom's. If you are still in the galata area try balık dürüm , çorba (Karaköy çorba ev) for lighter meal options. Apart from the classic kofte's and İskender. You can try cağ kebab in that area it's different from the classic kebabs. Also try testi kebab, where they break the burning pot- if plan to go to kapadokia try it there. For street food check out ıslak burgers from Kızılkaya. For dessert try Vienna restaurant cheesecake. We live in turkey Istanbul if you need any kind of support feel free to ask. Jaitun is olive not walnut bro. A basket full of bread they have served you first is called a bread roll in Europe. With a knife you have to make a slice then put cheese or butter inside and eat .

Zaitun means olive. Zaitun is Arabic. The Arabs have zaitun oil, which is basically olive oil, poured on bread or on a dish called phool, and other stuffs.

জয়তুন আরবি শব্দ ,কোরআনে সুরা ত্বীন পড়ে দেখেন। আমরা যে অলিভ বা অলিভ অয়েল খাই সেটাই আরবিতে জয়তুন বলে। বাংলাদেশের যে জলপাই আমরা খেয়ে থাকি সেটা আসলে কাছাকাছি গোত্রীয় হলেও জয়তুন না। walnuts তো আলাদা জিনিস যাকে বাংলায় আখরোট বলে। তুরস্ক আমার প্রিয় দেশ কিন্তু এখন ও যেতে পারিনি, যাব ইনশাআললাহ।

যয়তুন আরবি শব্দ ।ইন্ডিয়া পাকিস্তানের শব্দ নয়। এটা আমাদের মুসলিম ধর্মগ্রন্থ কোরআন শরীফের ৯৫ তম সুরা,সুরা ত্বীন।ত্বীন অর্থ ডুমুর যেটা মিশরে বিখ্যাত আর যয়তুন যেটা তুরস্কে বিখ্যাত যদিও স্পেনেও অলিভ হয় অনেক।

নষটালজিক ফিল করছি ভাই। ২০২২ এ দুইবার ইস্তানবুল গিয়েছিলাম, এইসব এলাকায় প্রচুর ঘুরাঘুরি করেছি। ভাল লাগল। Ultra wide angle lens ব্যবহার করেছেন নাকি action camera? এই ব্যাপারটা একটু disturbing ছিল। আর হ্যা, বসফরাস কিন্তু নদী না 🙂, strait, যাকে বাংলায় বলে প্রনালী। বসফরাস প্রনালী Black Sea এবং Sea of Marmara কে সংযুক্ত করেছে।

The dish that you are eating as an individual dessert item and calling it ‘malai’ is actually Kaymak which is basically a clotted cream. It’s one of the most common and basic food items in Turkey. You are meant to eat the Kaymak and honey with bread. Those two work like a spread mixing together (not as individual dishes). (Only if you bothered to do a minimum research before randomly starting to record a video and publish it publicly!)

আমার কমেন্ট টি বোকাবোকা শোনালেও কমেন্ট টি তবুও করছি। ইস্তানবুলের রেস্টুরেন্টে গিয়ে বলুন আপনি সেই খাবারগুলোই খেতে চাইছেন যেগুলো সুলতান সুলেয়মান খেতেন। সেগুলোতো এভেইলেবল কেননা ক্যামেরায় শুট করা খাবারগুলো সত্যিই জিবে জ্বল আসবার মতোই ছিলো। এই সময়কার শুটিংয়ে সেইসকল খাবার পাওয়া যাবার কথা। ভাইরে, এইসব দললা মারা মালাই মধুর সাথে খেয়েই অটোম্যানরা তাদের শরীর ঐ রকম তাগরা রাখতো 🙂😂🤣
