Some advice when it comes to tutorials.. Keep the content on screen at all times. Your indesign workspace is big enough for you to do picture in picture. Keeping cutting away from what you're doing to full screen of you isn't helpful in a tutorial.

yeah completely agree, I think i understand why he is cutting to his face cam. It helps people to maintain attention and its a very easy way to do.

As someone who works in a printing press; please, please, PLEASE add bleeds and safezones to your artwork, no matter the size, if you intend on having it printed. The amount of people we have coming in to the shop trying to print something that doesn't have a bleed or a safezone would astound you and while we would never turn the job down, we do often charge extra for design services/file handling. The bleeds are there to prevent thin white lines around your finished posters/leaflets that can appear during the cutting process, and the safezone prevents us cutting off any of your text/image that you want kept in.

I've always used "paste in place" to add images to shapes, I had no idea that you could reassign a shape to an image or text box! I presume that's the same thing that the rectangle frame box does? Thanks Will 👍

@will Paterson can you tell me what is the actual theme of your poster. Like just having the shapes on the poster won't suffice, how the shapes were connected among themselves. Also, many designers believes on minimalism but your poster was exact contrary to it...? So, how can you justify your poster was a balance one!?

As someone completely new to InDesign you lost me at 4:00. I chose the color but my poster remains black with blue'ish rectangles. Next time i see your screen, yours is pink and the left side panel has changed a bit from what is was at 4:00. Maybe its my fault for not watching a basic beginner tutorial first?
