I wonder how it could be fixed desaturating the copied layer only of the pattern color

This effect occurs when the scale of the weave pattern (or any other regular pattern) in the image that the lens projects onto the sensor, matches the scale of the pixel grid on the sensor. So instead of getting the model to change their clothing or fixing in post you could just take a step back/change your zoom/change anything that would cause the pattern and pixel grid scales not to match anymore. This combined with additional post processing is surely the most effective way to reduce moiré?

@dsit9955 Except that it kind of does have one -- the lens. And at high enough resolutions, moiré isn't as much of a problem as you might think; none of the current medium-format backs have one, and they see a lot of work in the fashion world where weave textures and regular patterns are par for the course. If you run into moiré while shooting, you can make changes at capture time (anything that gets you away from detail resolution on the sensor at or near the Nyquist frequency).

What about if the shirt has some kind printed designs or different color?

Just wondering, you say you can't get rid of the patterns altogether, what if you combined both, 1st and 2nd way of getting rid of them, together?
