Never? I had for 3 years a 2015 S 1000 R naked and was a beast. Bought a 2022 S 1000 XR and sold it within two months because they f4cked up the engine with Euro5. There´s absolutely nothing until 7500/800, seems like an old 2 stroke with actual bike sound. Cycle part is stunning, very fun to drive, but engine... Now, give me M engine in this bike and i´m so much in as well ;)

even if u were rich it still wouldn't make sense to buy a bmw over a fazer. it's a widely known fact that machinees from the 2000s have peaked and not much is added 20 years later apart from more power and electronics to tame it down? be logical.

Z900 is a cheaper and amazing fast naked bike too! I have a 2020 and a 2022 ZX6R and the difference is mind blowing! 0 took 100 the 900 is crazy torque!

Happy owner of an 18 S1000R, 55000km since new. Been a great machine and hopefully more to come. They make good machine, but like all high spec machine have their gremlins but BMW has backed me up every time. Happy to buy another

@@AChubbyWombat although the TT is popular, that doesn’t mean that everyone who watches this video will know what IOM TT stands for. Simply adding ‘closed roads’ to the title would make it obvious to all that it’s legal

I love BMW motorcycles and have owned many. Drive an rt now along with other makes. Still have my 05 k1200s sitting in the shed with the connector rod hanging out of the #4 cylinder, blew out on me at 75 mph. There was a defect with those motors and it happened to many many other of the same, the mechanic at BMW told me horror stories. I had to make payments on that bike for 3 more years as it sat in the garage because BMW didn’t and wouldn’t lift a finger to do anything about it. I didn’t have an extended warranty and I bought it used but it was only 3 yrs old with low mileage. BMW told me on the phone after going round and round and round with them, they knew it was a problem on their end but and a defect but it was my problem. The oil ports are too small and the last cylinder starves for lubrication which caused the number 4 to seize up. I keep hoping one day a recall will be issued I can only hope.

Hi Luca, many thanks, and please bear with us. By year-end, we'll reveal more details about the BMW M 1000 XR prototype. It'll come with the RR engine, ShiftCam technology and over 200 HP, and its top speed will be circa 280 km/h. 🔥

@@bmwmotorrad that sounds great im so excited for that bike. I am coming from the offroad corner initially but moved more towards road since so the xr is a really great mix in ergonomics and power. I was genuinely surprised how much trust and confidence the R gave me while riding but the seating position is to raceish for every day use. (In my opinion) and normaly 4cylinder bikes arent that great in lower rpm range but shiftcam is amazing!!!

@@bmwmotorrad Please include the capability for GP shift pattern... had a 2016 s1000XR, and the fact that I couldn't reverse the shift pattern to match the rest of my bikes was really annoying.
