Ok..... just had to add another comment. I learned two things watching this. First, I've never seen the paisley feathers done like this. I absolutely love them... and second, you just showed me it's ok to load a small piece on the frame. I always felt I had to have a full size practice quilt. Not sure how or why I get these "rules" in my head but you've helped disprove another one. Thank you so much.

Wow, just gorgeous! Somehow I had gotten the idea that backtracking with variegated thread would not look that good, so I was afraid to try it. IDK where I picked that up from, but you just put that theory to rest! (Newbie here.) This would make a lovely whole cloth quilt, wouldn’t it? I’m am wondering what color thread you used in the bobbin? It looks like your backing is purple, so I wondered if you used purple, black, or variegated? What weight thread did you use? It looks thicker. So beautiful! Soon as I get some duckies in a row, I would like to take some lessons from you. You are my fave! 💖
