Part 5: • Adrien Broner Won't Ta...
Part 1: • Adrien Broner Grew Up ...
--------
In this clip, Adrien Broner talked about winning his first world title at 21 and how the gravity of the moment didn't register until he was much older. Adrien said he didn't spend any of his boxing earnings until after winning his third world title, at which point he discovered how many millions he had in his account. For his first spendthrift moment, Adrien took his friends on a trip to Miami where he spent a total of $1 million.

Looking at the comments, I see why Adrien is still a major attraction in boxing. Aside from the fact that generally all of his fights are exciting, even when he loses, people seem to generally hate this dude. If he was to stay in the gym, work on his craft, and go on like a 15 fight win streak, he'd pull in another 100 mill over that timeframe just off of people who want to see him fall.

Rj Cherk I hear you. But this video was up loaded like 5 hours ago and has damn near 60k. Views. Broner has the uncanny ability to draw. He’s like did something amazing. He is like Mayweather and Manny. Mayweather because people tune in to see him lose and manny because his losses people don’t really pay attention to. Die hards get so angry with AB because he should be right there with Spence, Bud, manny, Keith as the cream of the crop. Only fights he had I knew he wasn’t going to win was Miadana and Porter. All of his other losses he could have and should have won. Manny included. Not saying he was robbed but he had the ability and skills to win.

You may be apart of the same epidemic leading black people to poverty and the lack of generational wealth... Until these men use their money for leverage of power... Their always be considered boys to the Elite... Power is in ownership.. I’m sure A.D. is good now but I feel he should educate the youth to know that’s not a good look it’s stupid and a phase we must teach our kids to skip bc our generation is behind and must make power moves to be great!!!

AB blew that million ok, that didn't mean other monies werent invested. Get out of here with the negativity. TooMuch For one property in Miami during that time in particular has always been cheap.. So many people including myself could do it.. I’m pointing out the fact that’s it more important for him to say it wasn’t the smartest way to spend his money but he learned from it... That would be a message for our people even if he was blessed to have money to make investments..FYI there’s a difference between constructive criticism and negativity... I always thought highly of A.D. but unfortunately he hasn’t and may never admit that the money, fame and ego had a big effect towards the back end of his career..But you aight ready for that convo that’ll just be negative...

To be honest AB's only real mistake which shaped the course of the rest of his career was moving up to 147 too fast and fighting a guy that was the most rugged Welterweight at the time in Chino Maidana. AB should've stayed at 140 for a few more fights then moved up. But at the end of the day, like him or not, he's going into the boxing Hall-of-Fame.

HOF? U serious? Lemme get what u burning over there bruh. Dude hasn't won a fight in almost 4 years. Yea he moved up too quick bc he seen a feather fisted guy like Malignaggi with a 147 belt, took advantage, went after it, and stayed there thinking he can hang with the big boys bc of his skills. He lost to every other notable name he's gone up against(including Mikey G at 140). Aside from his 4 division status(which nobody remembers any of the other guys he beat for his belts), only way he getting into the hall is buying a ticket. It's a shame bc he has HOF talent. Might not regret it now bc of his ego or bc he's on camera, but when his time is done he's gonna be kicking the crap outta himself for the higher level of success he coulda had if he didn't act like a short-bus student.

Honestly, he worked his face off to get where he’s at. Let him enjoy the fruits of his labor. I keep hearing people saying investing it for years and create family wealth. That’s fine, but my kids need to work for themselves and make their own career and money. I’ll pay for college but after that you’re on your own. When I moved out at 18 my parents bought a mercedes and when I look back, I don’t blame them lol. They don’t have to pay for me anymore so let them do their own thing
