A good example is when Marinette kissed Adrien on the cheek during one of the season finales. After that event, the two should have been super weird around each other. Marinette should have been replaying that event in her head and being embarrassed that she did something like that. At least for a little while, she could have been even weirder around Adrien since she didn't know how he felt about it. Adrien should have been a little weird around Marinette too. Marinette was the only girl to tenderly and sincerely kiss him on the cheek like that. You could tell by his face in that scene that he was surprised she did it, so he should have some thoughts on it??? It's at this point he should have started questioning his feelings and relationship with Marinette. But no, this event (i think) is never brought up again and they interact with each other the same as usual >___

Both are super bad for each other. First of Marinette, her obsessiveness towards Adrien is too unhealthy. She really called Luka Adrien when they were about to go on a date💀. Adrien has grown in a toxic household where he wanted to become what his parents want him to become. He definitely needs to go get help and Marinette isn't the option. He doesn't know what love is. He doesn't know how many people he is hurting ( leading Marinette on by being touchy, giving kagami hope in their relationship,etc) .He probably also admires ladybug not loves her. Both are toxic and definitely fans of this show just care about shipping. And y'all remember that one scene from Shanghai where Marinette just went to her uncle resident just because Adrien was there and her parents thought she was going to learn her culture....yikes

After watching the episode "Cat Walker", I had came to a realization. Marnette doesn't like Adrian, she likes the idealized version of him. She can't stand Cat Noir, finding a lot of his personality rates to be annoying. However, when Adrian does similar actions to Cat Noir, she suddenly likes those things. As an example, when Cat Noir says puns, she hates it, when Adrian says puns, She thinks it's the funniest thing ever. It's like she's not even paying attention to what Adrian is saying, but thinks it's the best thing that was ever said because it's something Adrian said. In the episode "Cat Walker", she did not like Cat Noir until he started behaving the way he does in front of his father, the way Adrian acts towards most people. She did not like Cat Noir, until he started acting like the idealized version of Adrian that she has of him. A relationship dose not work if you only love the idea of them, and not who they are as a person.

I love that you talked about Toradora! So many people say it’s not very good/ the main relationship is toxic, but then you compare it to Miraculous it looks perfect lol. I was never into romance anime (other than sailor moon but that’s more action anyway). Miraculous is what finally pushed me to try other romance anime. I thought Miraculous was the pinnacle of romance when I was a teenager and then I saw Toradora, Fruits Basket, Your Lie in April, Kimi no Na Wa, Weathering with You, & The Garden of Words. All these stories made me realize what an utter shit show Miraculous is. The fan fiction writers are better at writing compelling romance than the actual show. So thanks Miraculous for allowing me to develop better taste lmao

This was a great video! The only thing I think about them is that Adrien calls Marinette a friend because that’s how he sees her. And though he does treat her a bit differently from other girls he’s in love with Ladybug so liking Marinette the same way doesn’t cross his mind. At least that’s my interpretation. Also yes I would love a Sofia the first video. It’s a great show.

I agree especially when you consider the fact that there not really in love with each other. Adrien didn't fall for Marinette as marionette he fell in love with her as ladybug he's not in love with the real her he's in love with the idea of her. Same goes for Marinette when Adrien is Adrien he's just the perfect son and model student people want and expect him to be but when he's cat noir he's his true self. Marinette is in love with Adrien because she sees him as perfect she's not really in love with him she's in love with the image of him.

I think that it is very possible for a monster of the week plot along with a linear plot could work, but for some reason, staying with the status quo until the very end seems to be the route of this show; like how Marinette is just made the guardian after some small hints from Fu - not calling him master Fu because he was not an actual master to them and I will die on this hill on that - that she is the best miraculous holder ever and then boom. She is the guardian now. No build-up on how she got there or skills that makes sense to make her it. She just is. And I fear this will be the same for the romance. I am new to this channel, but if I voice this a lot in other channels so I will keep it brief. Romance should be about showing why a couple makes sense narratively and what makes a couple work and what people route for (should not be the sole reasons for a story, but if that is a selling point, then commit to it!). And I like the example that you used with an anime because I think they have a monopoly on good romance - even if overdone but still. The fact that it is season 4 and Marinette still sees Adrien as perfect and Adrien is just now starting to be a bit more open with liking Marinette - but not outright saying it - is rather annoying. We get it is canon, but just saying it will be does not make for satisfying stories as we need to see the journey from their beginning to their end, and skipping over that is just like expecting that a quick bake cake will be perfect without putting all the ingredients together and that the cake will be good right away. All in all, I agree with you that we know we are supposed to route for them, but running out of reasons why outside of just "they are made for each other".

Hugo and Sofia (from Sofia the First for those that don't know) had a better developed relationship in THREE EPISODES (spread throughout three seasons) than Adrienette did in FOUR (and a half?) SEASONS. Hugo and Sofia aren't even confirmed. (They're like, what, eight years old? No shipping is actually needed for StF.) Eight-year-old's have "matured" better than Marinette has lmao. And yeah, Adrien has his problems, but Marinette is the main issue for sure. And Alya's -enabling- "support."

So after watching I got to say: i completely agree with you. Honestly, it feels like the two are right where they were at the start and nothing's changed between them. Also like i said in the live chat Mari's crush on Adrien seems like a celebrity one more than anything, and not a healthy one. She's so creepy with him like he's not just some kid she knows from school. I also fail to see what she likes about him other than the fact he's cute and sweet....so yea, the main ship of the series yet it's pretty bad imo.

FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS HOW PROBLOMATIC IT IS

im gonna be honest, the way Marinette is portrayed makes me see her as an obsessive fangirls who probably reads self insert fanfiction with her and Adrian at 3 am. AND EVERYONE ENABLES HER BS

1) The art is absolutely beautiful and was a great distraction from the tragedy that is this show. Seriously- it's so pretty. 2) Now for the fun part... Oh boy (forgive this being slightly all over the place, I don't often talk about my feelings towards Miraculous and I just woke up) I remember way back in season 1 where things were honestly just innocent. Sure there were problems, but it was season 1. Things were hopeful. As times went on (and I got older) it became increasingly obvious how far the show was falling. For many of the reasons you stated, I only ever loved MariChat as a ship (even back then, I loved it unconsciously). It was (and in my opinion, still is) the main driving force in how those two could develop as a couple. Had the two fallen in love as MariChat over the seasons (and actually gotten development lasting longer than an episode each) I probably would have been able to grow to love Adrienette and even LadyNoir. (Forget about Adribug/Lardrien. That's a whole 'nother can of worms) MariChat felt like the saving grace and it constantly disappointed me when they teased development and then took it away from us, having them never change and remain infatuated with the other's alter ego. At this point, most of my memories about this show were from the fandom and the amazing stories they could create with this concept. I loved seeing MariChat grow as a *healthy* couple and eventually have that translate into other aspects of the story being told. (I liked not being cheated over and over to a reveal too) I truly agree with every point here- especially when it comes to writing romance. I think the best thing this show has even done for me, is make me aware of what not to do for a romance plot, and even how to view romance as a whole. Anyways, I wish you all the best and you bet you've earned anothet subscriber.

Funny, the writing, resets, chemistry and their relationship NEVER changing are the REASONS i dropped the show 😀 Yet there are people that only show up for it? I'm guessing they start their mornings with a twilight novel everyday and ship BakuDeku.

Adrienette is not problematic. The writers are problematic. Before analyzing the ship, analyzing the characters is priority. Marinette has GENUINE feelings for Adrien but also a celebrity crush on him as well. A mixture if you will. We know that Marinette wants Adrien to be happy. Examples of this are shown in the episode "The Bubbler" (S1), when Adrien thought the scarf he received for his birthday was from his dad, but when Alya told Marinette to go tell him it was she who made the scarf, Marinette said "...But he seems so happy about his dad, I don't want to ruin it for him." Another example is in the episode "Malediktator" (S2). When the school was having a party, celebrating Chloe's leave, Marinette is happy, but when she sees that Adrien is upset, she becomes upset. She doesn't like seeing Adrien upset, she wants him to be happy. So, I think Marinette despite her celebrity crush on Adrien, has genuine feelings for Adrien, and this can also be seen in episodes "Frozer" (S2) and "The Battle of the Miraculous" (S3), when she is sobbing at the fact that Adrien likes Kagami. Marinette also has some stalkerish tendencies and it's shown in S1, but imo, because it is in S1, it shows the amount of potential of character development for the aspect of Marinette's character when it comes to Adrien. In S2, Marinette became more shy, which is weird because she was able to talk to Adrien in "Kung Food" (S1), but that's okay. But Marinette was still a good character in S2. Now in Frozer, Marinette knows that Adrien likes Kagami, and after Kagami helps her up after she falls, she is upset and goes to the washroom. Marinette being upset shows that she knows she has to learn to let go of Adrien. Even after Marinette kissed Adrien on the cheek at the S2 finale, she still knows he likes Kagami, and we know from the history of the show that Marinette wants Adrien to be happy. Now in S3, Marinette's character takes a turn for the WORST. Firstly, Animaestro. Marinette teams up with Chloe?! To sabotage Kagami and stop her from "kidnapping" Adrien. Is this is a joke? In S1&2, Marinette wants Adrien to be happy and she knows that Kagami makes him happy and she does that? This is a BIG inconsistency with her character. She may have somewhat hard feelings for Kagami but Marinette is not stupid. She knows what Chloe proposed is a terrible idea. I'm honestly surprised she actually did this. Usually when one has feelings for another, they want that person to be happy, and this is what we saw in the Bubbler and Malediktator, so Marinette sabotaging Kagami makes ZERO sense for her character, also Marinette did this in Ikari Gozen AGAIN! Again, this makes no sense for her character. Now in the "Puppeteer 2" (S3), at the end of the episode, Adrien tells Marinette that "The girl I'm in love with doesn't like my jokes either." (That is not the exact quote), and Marinette replies with "...the girl you're...in love with" and Marinette has a sad expression on her face. So apparently, the Season 2 episode of Frozer didn't exist. Not only is that an inconsistency with Marinette's character but a contradiction within the Adrienette relationship. MARINETTE ALREADY KNOWS THAT ADRIEN LIKES SOMEONE ELSE. Another problem with Marinette in S3 are the episodes "Chameleon" and "Oni-Chan." In Chameleon, Marinette knows that Adrien knows that Lila is a liar. Keep this in mind. Chameleon chronologically comes before Oni-Chan. In Oni-Chan, Lila manages to go into the Agreste mansion. Marinette follows them to try and stop Lila from getting together but what's very weird is that Marinette knows Adrien well enough to the point that he wouldn't crush on liars. And Marinette treats Adrien likes he's her property which leads her to sabotaging other girls who like Adrien, which is completely foreign to her original character (S1&S2). I can't recall a time in S1 & S2 when she treats Adrien like he's her property, like in S2, she didn't even sabotage her. So, for the Adrinette ship to develop in a healthy way, Marinette's character needs to develop. I was hoping that in S3, Marinette would develop and get rid of her photo collection and Adrien's schedule because she knows Adrien likes Kagami. I liked Kagami and Luka because they both would indirectly help her to see Adrien as JUST A FRIEND and see him in a different light. Get to know him for who he really is, AS FRIENDS ofc and then Marinette's celebrity crush would go away which is a good thing. In S4 "Truth", the first episode, we see that Marinette still has pictures of Adrien which is ANOTHER inconsistency because she's dating Luka. It's ok if Marinette still has feelings for Adrien in "Truth", but I have to be honest, Marinette should try to focus less on Adrien and in truth those pictures of him should've been GONE. Why? Because she's getting together with Luka. After they break up, Marinette should focus on her NEEDS because we know her break up with Luka really hurt her. This is why I loved Gang of Secrets. The show is focusing more on Marinette's needs but Adrinette still needs to develop. In "Optigami", she was looking at a photo of Adrien for 10 minutes, which is actually ok compared to the other types of crap she pulled in S3, but this still shows that Marinette has a celebrity crush on Adrien but it's not as bad as before. I like the Adrienette ship, but it was ruined in S3, and why? Because the writers butchered Marinette's character in the third season (Animaestro, Ikari Gozen, Chat Blanc) which is a shame, because Adrinette was finally developing at the S2 finale. As for Adrien. Well, he's just oblivious. Sorry for the long essay.

adrienette is my least favorite side of the love square because its the furthest away from the premise of the show and main plot (being a superhero, the hawkmoth situation) and the mind numbing lack of development. i know the love square is all between the same two people but i at least feel like i can say something about ladynoir, they're partners, they're friends, etc. with adrienette even though they refer to each other as friends constantly i still can't see them as more as acquaintances. mari and adrien never really talk outside of school unless theres a mutual friend involved or some crazy coincidence. would adrien or marinette ever call each other just to talk like friends? or agree to hang out? or ask each other for help? its just so sad i want them to develop so badly 😭😭😭😭 now i wanna check out the anime you referenced. the premise sounds really cute 💖 thank u for putting the time into this video, i enjoyed watching it :D its lovely 💖💕

Really enjoyed the video! Well structured and you make good points and examples, so great job! I fully agree that currently, Adrien and Marinette's relationship is not right for romance. We're in season 4, and she still is in the blushy-stammering phase. I sometimes find it hard to even consider their relationship as friends, because (in my mind at least) friends should be able to talk to each other. By this, I mean actually TALK, not just have empty dialouge. (E.g for empty dialouge, "wow, you're so handsome Adrien" "what was that, Mari?" "I MEAN- NOTYOUTHEAD- NOTTHATYOU'RENOTATTRACTIVE- WAITNO- UHHHHAHAHA- BYE!!!!) Of course, they have moments where miraculously (pun intended) they can, but it's ALWAYS back to ifnubdmdhj conversations by the next episode. This is still happening in Season 4. Their relationship has barely devolved since the Origins episode and I'm surprised less people are pointing it out. Because of this, Mari hasn't gotten to truly know Adrien, so she still thinks he's a perfect person (which unless he's Jesus, no he isn't) with an amazing life (which isn't the case. In the Season 4 episode Lies, she watches footage of his day and sighs dreamily while remarking that how wonderful his life is, so she clearly still doesn't realize just how horrible it is for him) She only loves him for a surface level reason of being a nice person. Don't get me wrong, loving someone for their kindness is completely valid! But either Adrien's character is very one dimensional or Mari's love is because being in love with someone JUST because they're a nice person isn't going to be enough to sustain a healthy relationship (at least, I don't think it is because you aren't seeing them for their whole selves, just picking one trait you like about them and making it their entire person which isn't a good thing to do) It's not like no one's ever been nice to her either. She has loving parents and many friends (who can turn a blind eye to her concerning tendencies but are not cruel people) so what makes Adrien's kindness so special? If you have not already, can you please do Ladynoir because I also think they are toxic as hell. And while Adrien being a doormat has some to do with it and his passive aggressiveness at the same time as well as the incessant flirting, the first 2 flaws are realistic. I also think Ladybug is more toxic. She thinks being the leader means she is the boss and no one should interject ideas and just follow her lead. If someone tries to stand up for themselves or give a different opinion, she yells or glares at them. She and Marinette can be narcissistic at times which does not help. I also (not using it lightly here) honestly believe that Ladybug sometimes physically and mainly verbally abuses him. I have been through the verbal abuse a few times and it is not good. It caused my low self-esteem which I see with Cat Noir. Note: i am not saying every moment they had was abuse. Just the ones where one smiled while the other was clearly offended kind of moments. It starts with the little digs that sound like normal teasing including name calling. Than it escalates with harsher critiques or advice that is always followed by an insult. Then you get comments like “this is why you have no friends” kind of comment. It also comes with “if you try to stand up for yourself”, that person yells. You keep going trying to get them to listen, they scream more until it is better to quit. Oh believe me, I tried more than once. Anyways, I see these tactics with Gabriel and Ladybug and why I feel Adrien does not have the fight in him anymore until everything festers and boils to the surface leading to the passive aggressiveness. Again, not condoning his behavior at times, but can see where some of it comes from. Know this has nothing to do with Adrienette, but just wanted to point it out.

I don't watch Miraculous, but I used to, and the idea that Marinette would sabatoge Adrien's chances of joy in a relationship just so she can have him makes me think that she views him as an object that she wants to posses rather than someone she actually loves. Loving someone is wanting to see them happy and putting their joy ahead of yours.

Thank you for this. I do admit, I am kind of falling out of Adrienette, and I am a lover of romance in animation. At first it was cute and obvious that it would be typical high school crush story with a superhero spice. But watching how one is obsessed while the other ignores their obvious crush is getting on my nerves. How you describe their "growing" chemistry actually reminds me of another animated couple that just happened after the movie. Even more tragic is how there is absolutely no romantic chemistry in the series that follows, and it annoys me to the core (and I heard even sadder news it's down to its final season). Back to this though, I am more Lukanette.

I’m an aromantic writer, so writing characters who are not aromantic is very hard for me. I loved hearing yours tips and info! I do not ship them or even want them to get together because of Marinette's obsession over Adrien. We all were 14, BUT none of us stole our crushes phones, acted bad towards girls talking to our crush, made up complex plans on "coincidentally meeting", stalked them all over to SHANGHAI or made a plan of our crush exact schedules. It's a very sick behavior, that the show seems to encourage by not giving Marinette any sort of real consequences. I would love to see her grow up and understand that this obsession is not healthy. Adrien's obsession's with Ladybug is weird too, but the worst that he did is maybe have her pic as a lock screen, which is a weeb or kpop fan behaviour or sth, it's not THAT bad. The only thing making Marinette not seem so creepy is the fact that she is a girl, and that in this world, sex and murders can not exist. Thank you so much for putting your thoughts on this video! That’s why I never fond this Shipping after I finished season 3 because I just don’t like how their relationship works. As you mentioned the other anime that they know how to make the relationship works. They know how to make the characters development. They know how to make their characters more human. While this is just they never changed. Yes, they’re soulmates and I get that they’re good for each other but at the same time they have to work on themselves more. That is why I prefer LadyNoir because they acted their true themselves and trust each other (well until season 4 went down a hill). Also, you can feel their relationship more deeper then Adrienette especially Cat Noir. I feel like the writer don’t know what to do about this shipping like ok we saw that Marinette likes Adrien since in the beginning of season 1 but she never changed around him in the current season. While Adrien, yes I get that he’s stuck at his house for his entire life due to his parents but at the same time, he should’ve been realized it by now at least season 4. I’m not saying that he’s blind but he needs to be more open-minded around her. Anyway I’m guessing both of them will be together at the very end of the series similar to Ross & Rachel from Friends. (Honestly, I think their relationship was more toxic and less stress then Adrienette)

That's actually one of the reasons I ship Marichat because I think they rather see each other as people with flaws and not as some perfect human beings, so they genuinely love each other even with those flaws

I wouldn't use Torafora as an example of good romance nor recommend it. But, if you like a story where the plot constantly gets on the side on the MC, forgiving her mistakes while shaming all other characters minor mistakes, if you enjoy a relationship normalizing physical abuse, physical assault and more, then, yeah, Toradora is for you.

Spoilers for s5, Now adrien is the creepy one, mari is trying to forget her crush on him, and now he likes her a lot more (romantically) he calls her one night when her and alya r having a sleepover and thanks her for being his friend and shit, and shes trying to forget him, and then at school he greets her by trying to kiss her?? Without consent???? MULTIPLE TIMES??? there was a week long timeskip where he greets her EVERYDAY by trying to kiss her, and she trys to play it off by shaking his hand and alya steps in and basically holds her down so she will get kissed, creepy... However they dont end up kissing bc a akumatized person shows up,

When I came at this show at a surface level, it was a cute superhero show for girls that had a kiddie little romance plot in it. And then it got worse. And now I stare at the show and think about how much it's been dragged out and what it could have been. This ship especially. It could have been a cute, convincing trope with Marinette having that teenage girl crush and Adrien being an oblivious teenage boy. It's a great setup. But it slowly devolved into 'will they won't they' but not good.

The fact this ended up being the first cannon ship for the pair honestly killed me....

Marionette and Adrien does not know what love is. For Marinette, Adrien is her first crush and she did not have a crush on anyone else. When it comes to Adrien, he is sheltered and does not know what falling in love feels like, yes. My big concern is how did Marinette's friends say she has made development with her relationship with Adrien when clearing there is little to none? Chloe was right even if she did say it in a sassy mean tone, I am just saying.

I know I’m like super late (mainly because I only subbed to you a month ago) but I really want to input my thoughts on Adrienette as well. Especially after getting new insight from one of the KZfaqrs’ videos yesterday. Unlike the Ladynoir side of the square, Adrienette never got the same care as the ship. What’s worse is there is a lot of potentials the show could have gone with to help develop the ship as well. Adrienette is one of the most frequent ship used because Marinette and Adrien can interact with each other a lot in school as their civilian selves, similar to Ladynoir when they interact as Ladybug and Cat Noir, if not more so than Ladynoir because there isn’t really a time limit or an Akuma to keep them distracted from interacting with each other. They’re just normal middle schoolers with the worse being dealt with are bullies and homework. The problem is the show doesn’t take advantage of it and have the conflict and not interact a lot for FOUR SEASONS! Sure, there were moments like Frozer and Bubbler, but those consistencies don’t really stick. There can still be conflict for Adrienette, but it doesn’t have to just be confessing. As you mention in the video, there was a moment in season 2 where Marinette was happy Chloé was leaving, but Adrien wasn’t. That’s a good conflict the two could have had and learn from each other (Marinette to be more empathetic and Adrien to see more to the side of the stories and not push others). But of course, the writers didn’t expand on that. The same can be said for season 3 when Adrien and Marinette are the only ones who know Lila is a liar. Adrien can be there for Marinette when she gets left behind or gets the short end of the stick because of Lila, especially when she’s trying to tear apart their friendships and would do it more intentionally. And again, there could have been conflict if Adrien were to learn Marinette was threatened and she didn’t tell him, leading to a sense of doubt in their friendship and development on the two. Heck, even in season 1, maybe part of the reason Marinette is so shy and stuttering is because she feels guilty for how she yelled at him and thought he was a spoiled brat bully like Chloé (course that part could only work if Origins aired first). And even outside of the conflicts, there could have been sweet moments for the two as a breather (we can’t always have tensions). Like hanging out together along with Alya and Nino, because I would have loved to see a friend group together with them. Or the two could have had meaningful talks like their break ups with Kagami and Luka. I love slow-burn romance because it’s more realistic, allowing the two grow in relationship and as characters. And the love square was an amazing concept that just wasn’t executed the best. Like you mention, the show has a lot of missed potentials, along with wasted in my opinion. But like you said, all we can do is now is just learn from the writer’s mistakes, and all I’m hoping is that if they plan to do a reverse love square, they at least give actual development with Adrienette (even if it’s not much and perfect).

Back when MLB was a bit more new, I was one of those that thought the dynamic was “fine” since I thought Mari would eventually mature with all the responsibilities + Adrien would stop seeing Ladybug as perfect. BUT NNNOOOPPPEEE. I definitely see that if they don’t make these two mature/move on from their crushes/grow up (as duh they are teens but Mari is getting worse and Adrien is getting shoved to the back) this ship is canonically just toxic. late but i actually think i have a good explanation for why mari's behavior hasn't changed at all when it comes to Adrien (note this isn't abt the stalking, just why she's still nervous around him) She's TRIED to move on or just try and act natural around him- but her friends always butt into things without realizing it, specifically ALYA. Alya doesn't even let people to tell Adrien about Mari's crush, she tries to FORCE it to be a thing Mari reveals even when she knows Mari isn't ready. Mari realized her behavior with Adrien isn't okay/getting their friendship anywhere and that she should treat him better and the girls all protested against it, insisting the way she acts is fine and etc despite knowing how extreme she gets with it. They all force her into uncomfortable situations with Adrien when she's not ready in hopes of them bonding finally and I feel like this has caused the opposite effect on her, she's become MORE uncomfortable because these moments freaked her out too much. When her friends don't have any play in things, you can see she's more comfortable- like when she was trying to help Adrien get away from fans, when they were alone in the trailer with her admitting she's stressed over the hat she made him, or just them playing video games together. A lot of Adrien and Marinette's interactions tend to have been FORCED onto her by friends no matter if she's okay with it or not and I know from experience that that stuff makes things WORSE. They tend to make some type of gesture or comment during the moment that actually brings her into freaking out because then she's AWARE aware and knows she's being focused on and expected to do something-

I love your videos and you got a good point the real problem with Marinette and Adrien is the perfection filter they got at this point I can even see Chloe and Adrien being a thing heck even Luka is a better option for any of them cause he never hide his flaws point is Marinette get from inocent and cutely loving a nice guy to stalkish and creepily wanting the cute little doll and people think is cute I bet if the roles were reversed they will be burning Adrien like a witch I hope they either make this ship better or kill Adrien by erasing him as a sentimonster

This does not mean that their relationship is bad from the start. It just needs to be written a little better. For my version, Marinette and Adrien will get together after 2 seasons. If we’re gonna do this, we have to do this right. Show us why they should be together, and develop their chemistry. Let them have their ups and downs, and have them fight. However, no matter how much they may fight, they always reconcile with each other. Plus, they should always look out for each other, and care for one another. Also, they should have some common interests, like playing the same video game or watching an anime or show. And, they should also trust each other too, meaning that they need to know that they’re Ladybug and Cat Noir. That’s what I should do in my version of it.

To be honest I think the relationship should have build up really future episode about the time-traveling about Adrien and Marinette relationship was kind of bizarre no they might have the same outcome and every single timeline relation is hide their identities and they shouldn't reveal it to the public cuz like they could affect the timeline but I don't know it's complicated

I used to love them but they just don't develop so I'm kind of loosing interest and I'm more interested in Ladynoir now. They can't talk to each other even after over 3 seasons and I'm getting tired of it

I love the points you used at the video I never really noticed those things, I've been in the Miraculous fandom since the first season came out and at first I loved Adrienette and shipped them a lot, but after sometime it started to get annoying and kinda unhealthy, now days I respect the Adrienette shipper and I know in the end they will be together but I really don't like the ship anymore, I think the ship just lost the "glow"

Honestly the only ships I prefer are ones that make sense or if there's a slow burn make sure it's not to slow like rayllum from the dragon prince rayla and Callum were first somewhat enemies then friends later romantic moment with a bit of heart break (if I got anything wrong let me know I never watched the dragon prince only read opinions and the wiki) regardless rayla and Callum toke time to work out with small romantic moments before the big moment 😑😊it's also adorable and the two support one another in my opinion 😊

I feel like the writers sort of know what they're doing, and sort of not know. One example of this would be Alya and Nino, to me, they work as a better couple than Marinette and Adrien, but the writers hardly give them any screen time, or even an episode to themselves. Heck, the scene that made them a couple happened off-screen for the love of the damned. I just hope the writers eventually know what to do, Miraculous is confirmed to go on for 7 seasons, so we're just about halfway there, but I don't think I'll be able to handle any more of this current Adrienette BS. Oh, and quick question: Will you ever review the Miraculous World specials?

First off, I love Sophia The First too! Second, Marinette seeing Adrian as perfect is the same problem I had with Kagami in the episode "Truth". The life drawing scene, he posed as Cat Noir, and she told him it wasn't him, he does a modeling pose, and she tells him it's not him either, that he needed to be "perfect". She wanted to control who he was. At least in Marinette's case, I feel it's implied that she sees him as perfect no matter what. Still not healthy to worship him like she does, but I don't think she'd tell him he's "not him". At least in "Ephemeral", we see her rethink about who Adrian is and slowly accept him for who he is on all sides. Lastly, I personally ship Marinette and Luka more, but not against the end game either.

In my opinion, I definitely agree with a lot of your points in this video, personally, I still want Marinette and Adrien to get together at some point. However, I do wish the writers would acknowledge some romantic events that happened. I believe the best way to introduce a relationship between the two is to allow Marinette and Chat Noir to slowly cooldown on their crushes (Adrien and Ladybug) so they can allow experience dates with others before coming to a conclusion about liking their current crushes best. Marinette and Chat Noir will continue to have minor feelings for their current crushes, and sure, blush around each other sometimes, but that can lead to Chat Noir dating Marinette. Chat Noir x Marinette has always been my favorite part of the love square, even before I realized how toxic Arienette really was. Chat Noir and Marinette definitely had some chemistry when they first started to hang out with each other. Since Marinette and Chat Noir didn't feel like they were around their crushes, they felt a lot calmer around each other, showing flaws and no stuttering, etc. The only thing preventing them from considering even dating each other was that they still had a lot of interest in their past crushes. Eventually, Mari and Chat will realize they're best for each other, but to make the story more craving, they can make it so they hide the fact they still like their current crushes. When the reveal comes up, most likely when Marinette is comfortable with this, leading to Chat Noir revealing himself and Marinette transforming into Ladybug, they will officially become boyfriend and girlfriend and should maintain a good relationship. (Keep in mind, Lukanette could've also happened if it weren't for Marinette still going crazy for Adrien, however, Lukanette in my opinion, is not my cup of tea)

I agree with you on this to many extents. I don't ship this because it seems too unhealthy as it won't be good on either side of the page as Adrien likes Ladybug and Marinnete likes Adrien as seeing how one sees the other higher, it's not going to be very good for the other (Marinette) (I hope this makes sense-)

I really wish they kept what happened at the beginning of the new york special going where Mari was starting to calm down about Adrien but a few scenes later she's back at it again. Like could they PLEASE at least make her calm down, I'm tired of seeing Mari just stumble the second Adrien looks at her. Also I really don't like the only reason she got obsessed with him was because he was nice to her and said he was trying to get the gum off her seat and not put it there? I kinda wish they would have shown them being friends at first THEN you see her slowly start getting clumsier and more stuttery around him or her growing more and more comfortable with him and they become best friends that way. There's so many things they could have done and the fact they have gone with what they are and rewriting certain things kinda bugs me. I'm ready to give season 5 a chance but if they don't make this better I'm quitting the show, I've liked this show since about 6 months after it came out and my patience with it is running thin.
