My schools fire alarms went off for no reason 2 days ago nobody pulled it, there was no system work OR cooking and in the middle of recess my gentex commander 3 just went off on whoop. And the est genesis went off inside Edit: guys this is four years old where are the replies coming from?? Edit 2: btw guys, it was dust in a janitorial closet

Fun story, me and the rest of my volleyball team were all leaving but two of the girls (we will just call them E and B) stayed because B had to wait for their parents to get there and E didn’t want to leave them alone. But B hadn’t been listening to the coach all night they went into the weight room when they went supposed to, they went into the art room, and just wasn’t listening to any of us. But then right as I left they decided it would be fun to pull the fire alarm! So that’s how we almost gut kicked out of the gym we practice in! Thank god it was only the panic alarm and not the actual fire alarm! 😅

I remember those Serebus pull stations back in grade school, I still wonder how more unplanned fire drills didn't happen because they were basically unprotected for a time and were in the gym... which was also the cafeteria (it wasn't until after I graduated apparently that changed) then I got to high school and when I saw them, they had those barriers you lift from the bottom to pull the alarm (the barriers were also alarmed)

I think its better to have certain alarm systems set so the horn pulses like that because while it is important to be able to hear it going off you certainly dont want to blow your ear drums out making the problem worse than it needs to be

They also make a $272 sensitivity tester for all of the system sensor I3 smoke detectors. It’s called the SENS-RDR Also, have you shown the System Sensor Cosmod 2/4 wire smoke carb combos yet? It’s a pretty cool setup that works on any panel that supports 4 wire circuits.

Anthony Įødīçę yes they are very nice detectors. Unfortunately they do need a special module to enable the carbon monoxide detector part of the detector, but yes they will work on both addressable and conventional systems.

It’s so nice being able to do smoke and co on 2 wires though. The price difference is negligible vs the ease of install and flexibility of being able to put system sensor 2w-tab’s in the same circuit.
