In this video I am embroidering my second design on my Ricoma MT-1501 Commercial Embroidery Machine. When my threads left tails at the beginning of the stitch while I was on FaceTime with the tech at ricoma he told me to tighten the tension just a tiny bit and it fixed it. I have the em1010 though

OMG thanks so much for this video. In their example it looked like they looped the thread from the inner face of the springs and then drape it over the spring. But I couldn't figure out whether it should go in between the springs or just rest on top. It looked like they just rested it on top but they don't really stay in place once you trim it in the recommended 2". Thanks for the helpful videos!

Looks good man. I'm looking at this machine ckose. I love what it can do. Have you looked into doing stuff like names on the Sail like on a sailboat? Logos on the back of jacket ? Back Patches ? I'm just throwing some stuff out there that I would explore. Once again looks good. Best of luck on your venture.

I have shoved the tail back to that bar behind it with the “Velcro/sponge” thing. And let it hang thru that. I didn’t get any loose threads. Great vid my guy

Was your 2nd hat hoop super tight? Mine was super tight and I had to take out the small screws to adjust it. I also had to lift the metal flap with a flathead screwdriver which was super tight also. What is your go to hat brand you use? Great content! Keep up the good work.

Yes my second hoop did need adjusting. My go to hat company is Otto Cap.

Do you need to use backing for the snap back hats? Also how do I get my design closer to the brim? It’s putting my design to high on the hat

Structured hats i would say no but it’s good practice to use backing for everything. To get your design closer position it using the arrows on your machine and trace it to make sure your press or foot does not hit the hat hoop. You also have to hoop properly.

Is it possible to embroider a flower crown around a hat?

Around the entire top with a multi needle not in one run. You would have to rehoop and perfectly line it up so the two sides meet. That would be super difficult to do. If you see a hat like that it was probably done then sewn together after it was embroidered on.

@@adubbproductions Mahalo... it would preferably be around the bottom part of the hat, resting on the bill... just some crazy idea... Hawaiians wear a lei po'o around the head (po'o).

How do I embroidery on the side of the cap ie 1922-2022

Digitize the design with your main image in the front and your side image on the side. It takes practice to get the placement right but it really isn’t that difficult. Here is a video on me doing it with my mt-1501 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b6uFraqhx92mmGw.html

@@adubbproductions SIC!!!. Did you use an upgraded version of Chroma. (I think that's the software Ricoma uses). The sales guy mentioned there's a free version of it that comes with the package. Love your energy and honesty.

I used Chroma Luxe, the top tier version fir this design but honestly you can create something like this using chroma inspire. It’s w hefty $$ jump so make sure Thats what you wanna do. I think however you can get a trail version and compare and see which you would prefer. You can see what features one has that the other doesn’t.

Yes it can. It even has a feature where on the large hoop you can multiply the patch and stitch out several in one run. I’ll make a video on it soon.

Yes. You need an attachment called the 8 in 1 but there is a way to do it with the regular hoop that it comes with. It’s just a little/lot more difficult.
