I had a plan to watch this video, and I did it today. I'd learnt the "showing purpose with infinitive" before, but I didn't have any idea about the others. I comprehended all the rules well because I'd known the grammar rules. Only did I combine the things I know. By the way, I solved the test which is in the end and I answered all correctly. I thank you, Arnel, for teaching easily like that and giving examples more.

you're very good at presenting the parts of tricky subjects for esl learners in a good order with good examples. When i used to teach in the past , we didnt have this rich source of internet. I myself used to get lost about where to start , how far to go, how to wrap up, etc... You have the big advantage of being a native speaker, but it's also difficult to teach someone's own language in such a good detail because many people don't know the grammar of their native language as they learn it naturally, by hearing/ being exposed to it, not by studying.

I got 9/9 thanks to your excellent explanation. These are my examples: 1. IBM collaborators are to complete security training by the end of this month. 2. Security training is to be completed by IBM collaborators by the end of this month. 3. Qualys was to have organized a conference this Wednesday but the main talker got sick. 4. Also, I have seen this structure be used in many documentaries that I enjoy watching for relaxation right after dinner. I really needed this. I mean, I've come across that grammar many times before, but I didn't know the exact rules and verb constructions. Thanks to your simple, yet perfect explanation I finally got it. Anyway, let's try this one: general elections are to be held at the weekend (it's a true fact for the place where I live) and I'm about to participate (I don't have to, but I'm gonna).

You've got no idea of how much you've helped me! Thank you so much! PS. Didn't know the formal/official way to use Be for Future, I thought there was only Going To and Present Continuous. X.x

Thank you for the exciting lesson. My practice examples: Luci is going to pack a suitcase. I am to meet with friends tomorrow. Mark and Lauren were to find out what was going on. This tree was to have been cut down by a man inside the bar. Mathematical expression was to be solved by this young student.
