In the past, I've released various Escape From Tarkov videos about PVP, geared toward both beginner and intermediate players. Since we're nearing wipe, now's the time to brush up on your PVP, so I figured it would be best to release a guide focused on Advanced PVP mechanics in EFT. Most of these assume you're already fairly experienced in Tarkov PVP, so definitely take the time to watch my earlier PVP guides beforehand. Enjoy!

Another tip, grenade equip and throwing animations are long and loud, if you hear your enemy pull the pin, you can rush towards them, if they put the grenade away its a long animation that gives you an opening to kill them, and if they throw it at you, you should be safe-ish since you’re running toward them and the grenade is traveling away from them. On the other hand, you could use it as a bait by quickly pulling out a grenade and then switching back to your gun if you know the enemy is aggressive. This knowledge has gotten me quite a few kills.

Except for all those unlucky times they have impact gernades and you push because you hear the pin.

awesome mechanics video! there's so many tricks in this game I would even like another video on it, the grenade push is an underrated tactic and cannot be countered because it's just inherent game psychology to run from it, even if grenades in this game have a very small blast radius

Just keep it mind you can't use it everywhere. Need high ceilings. Plenty of places you'll just bonk your head and make a goof of yourself haha

Not sure if you mention it but double tapping "Z" to drop your bag helps a lot with inertia if you are heavy before you engage in most situations. That said, great tips and learnt a lot even though I have 2k hrs. Thanks

great video. i am guilty of forgetting to play to the benefit of my kit. as an old cs 1.6 vet the tool that rarely gets talked about in tarkov is wallbanging, it's inaccurate but sometimes it is all that it takes is to spray the wall.

For sure, it can be weird learning which things can be shot through and which can't. It's really inconsistent, and map dependent. But definitely a good thing to learn 😀

All my settings are listed in my discord server! Nothing 3rd party is used. But, I do do some color correction on the footage if it's dark for the video

The faster the gameplay is, the more fun it is in my opinion. Not a fan of feeling like a drunk wobbly tank in an FPS

Personally I use My mouse buttons for leansl. That way I can be mobile while leaning (just presents an odd shaped hitbox & looks odd).

BSG lets add inertia so it can just be bypassed anyway using other means.

Hardest part of PvP is actually getting in a real fight. I’m normally one tapped by a bush Wookiee I never lay eyes on

Never stop moving, do your best to avoid rat spots, be mentally prepared to react to a player at any given second. Nothing is fool proof but you can do a fair bit of things to give yourself the best advantave

Typically if someone is playing that way they can't really aim either, so you just have to run around and hopefully tank a few shots so you can determine where they are

This is why SPT is so popular, because the AI acts more like people than people do. People abuse mechanics to win which is poor play even when you're good at it too. Like wouldnt you just rather have a good game than having to game the game good?

Hopefully wasd circle and junp peak will be removed. These are just exploits ppl use. I dont use it, so once this is fixed it wont affect me. Using wasd or peak jump is the same as cheating for me.

Perhaps you have to rethink the way you're approaching PVP, or maybe you have to brush up on some associated skills (map knowledge, aim, etc.)

And this is why Tarkov is dead to me. Look at the ball ache you have to go through thanks to inertia... Honestly the weight and inertia changes killed the game.

It was a headache to get used to it all, I'll admit, but both inertia and pre inertia have their own set of downsides. That being said though, pre inertia was definitely a lot better from a "fun" perspective, despite all the issues it had
