My initial thoughts so far after playing around with it for a little while I think it’s pretty good.
What I like so far, is that it’s really nice to land status effects on mobs that have high MRM, back then for this monster I would’ve used mindbreaker shield twice for the def loss, to make it easier to inflict the prismatic burn from she-nya, but by intentionally missing with my attacks it means I don’t have to spend a ton of SP and gives me plenty of BTH to work with.
This probably won’t stay like this forever but the clone pet also contributes to the style bonus, so you could get some extra BTH from it missing or extra negative BTH if it lands a hit, for the latter you could probably use little clone instead of the regular clone that I used, since the game says the little clone pet is more accurate.
I also used double berserk + an inaccurate weapon like the gating gun which has a high hit count so I can gain a lot of BTH from missing. Also saved neko charges for cataclysm buff to help offset the reduced damage from having high BTH alongside my booster pet and guest, and other buffs from miscs.
Something I thought was interesting but when I fought the bun-banneret boss the style bonus ended up working against me not to the point that it was impossible to beat, but made it noticeably harder because I’m trying to deal enough damage so it gives me the stun prompt, and the negative BTH was making me miss a decent amount. I fortunately still won in the end after some small adjustments to my usual strategy when I fought the bunny. I could’ve used kindred bow for auto hit but that meant having to imbue it with earth which costs a lot of SP which I wasn’t down for.
Other plans for future vids, I’m thinking of switching my FO ranger to some kind of warrior build in the future.
