I like to imagine that's why his minions are so loyal to him They know bowser despite them always failing will always rely on them on the chance they could win

That's a really great characterisation for Bowser, everyone talks about how BiS totally nails the character, which is true, but it and Luigi's treatment in this game and completely overshadows how excellent Bowser is in Dream Team too. I also feel like he fights them like that due to respect towards his rivals, especially for Green Sta- NO LUIGI! Like anyone else (except Peach too, maybe even "Chippy", I guess) would just be dreamt of instantly vanishing or at best being easily beaten just for Bowser's fun. Also giant hammer.

@@YukiSnow75, definitely not that. He has captured Peach and took over the world (well tried) in so many creative way, that's some big imagination, he just has some Koopa King branding to respect.

Yeah, he is and was too much of a joke character. He needs these Badass moments at the end of some games.

I love how Dream Team treated Bowser as a true villain. He had funny moments and everything, but in the end, he reminded everyone how truly evil he can be.

Not to mention that I love the reasons behind the betrayal, not only because he wanted to be the only one to conquer the World, but also because he had enough of being used and tossed aside like in the previoud M&L (that's one of the reasons I love the M&L franchise, because of its continuity)

Dream team at least made sense because at that point Bowser learned to not be too trusting to the villains he teams up with and betrays Antasma before he is betrayed or possessed again. Him being the main villain in Paper Jam felt underwhelming especially since it was meant to be a crossover with the Paper Mario series and there is very little references and characters from the past games of both series. I hope they just stick to the new setting and have a unique villain instead of Bowser.

Get ready. The other games in the M&L series have some crazy tracks too.

Yeah fr I didn't have much trouble with it when I was a kid, but I recently beat it on a mobile emulator and I literally COULD NOT GET IT. Eventually I got it but bro... Still one of my favorite games ever though

@@Samurai_Eddmotion capture was hard to control, and having them on the end of the titan fights was horrible, but Giant Bowser, and Zeekeeper were the worst, I don't remember how many times I had to retry against Zeekeeper

The one part on this game that took me forever to legitimately beat is the person who is sleeping who keeps sleeping and I gotta keep attacking him before he keeps sleeping to max health again and again and again

*I LOVE the idea of Bowser becoming a god but dreamy bowser was pretty poorly executed in my opinion I found it boring what a waste of potential! And funnily enough if it WERENT for Paper Jam it would’ve been the last game as the last 2 games were remakes and alpha dream is bankrupt now practically so I say it’s a pretty good ending too (let’s pretend paper jam doesn’t exist as much as I like Shiny RoboBowser!)*

@@ssj4gogeta130yeah, I get what they were aiming for by having a final boss for each type of battle, but they felt far too clustered. Maybe Dreamy Bowser could have swapped between the Real World and the Dream World (and maybe even been merged with the Giant Bowser battle to have all 3 types in one) and Antasma would be defeated much earlier in the game as the end of his arc as the villain before Bowser betrayed him for losing to the bros, took the Dream Stone's power for himself and became the main villain throughout the Neo Bowser Castle sectuon

And we finally had a good ending to the bros' character arcs as Luigi finally got the respect he deserves from everyone, even Bowser

I have my own headcanon that Paper Jam takes place before Dream Team because Dream Team was when Luigi and Bowser's character arcs were completed. Also Dream Team is probably the strongest Bowser has gotten right beside Galaxy

This boss is honestly way easier than most fights. You can one turn kill if you know what you’re doing with equipment and badges. Problems only arise when you give him a ton of chances to attack. Personally in my playthrough I brought pow up and defense down badge stocks and had duplex crown on Luigi. From there one bye bye cannon and two star rockets killed him

The goddamn beyblade phase. You don't really have the luxury to learn how tilting your DS translates to Luigi's movement, until he repeatedly plummets into the lava, causing you to replay the last 5 minutes of the fight

Yo same. This was my first Mario rpg that I have played and finished! I'm more of a Luigi guy than Mario so seeing it focus around Luigi instantly makes it my favorite. I've played the other games and finished them except for Partners In Time, I'm still playing Partners In Time on an emulator. The only downside in my opinion are the tutorials. I was new so I definitely needed them but after beating it and replaying it on hard mode, it gets annoying. I like exploring the areas in both the real and dream worlds. The battle system is superb, motion controls didn't bother me too much. The OST is beautiful, we have bangers like Dozing Sands, Somnom Woods, Mount Pajamaja, the battle themes, and etc. Dream Team is my favorite some of the reasons you have like (warning this list is long): Reason 1:The concept of going into Luigi's dreams is amazing even if BiS did it first Dream Team handled it better imo. Reason 2: It has my favorite OST along with Bowser's Inside Story and Paper Jam not too far behind. My other reasons of why Dream Team is my favorite: Reason 3: I like the modern sprites more than the original sprites (and Dream Team was the game to introduce the modern sprites). Reason 4: It's the longest one in the series taking an average of 40 hours of playtime. People don't like how long it is but most rpgs are long so I like this. Reason 5: I love the bosses. Aside from the first 3, starting from Bowser and Antasma (teaming up) they are really fun and have interesting concepts and gimmicks. Reason 6: This is the only game to have a hard mode difficulty. This game is already on the harder scale of Mario & Luigi rpgs (at least that's what I have been told) so after beating the game the first time you can replay it on hard mode and it gets more intense. I won't spoil what hard mode does unless you don't care about spoilers. Reason 7: Giant Battles return! I know I said Dream Team was my first Mario & Luigi game but Giant Battles came from BiS but it's handled much better in Dream Team. I love how the giants give Luigi a nightmare while Mario is inside and Starlow touches the L on his cap to have Luiginoids fuse inside him to make him grow and use his thoughts of helping Mario and turning them into power! Reason 8: It has my favorite story and plot. BiS had a very good plot as well but I like how Dream Team went from just having a vacation to having to save the world from Antasma and Bowser. I really like Dreambert as a character and how he wants to free his people from nightmares from possibly thousands of years ago.
