Apologies for all the errors in the game, but I hope it shows you just how much fun the game can be! Sure the rules are a bit light and some of the components could REALLY use an upgrade, but the art, the leveling up, the playstyle etc., is SO MUCH FUN! Hope you enjoy the playthrough!

We have w Kickstarter planned for April with a new starting class (alchemist), three new elite classes, a 5 encounter campaign, and a new type of initiative token! Our manufacturer is also reprinting all of the boards alongside this expansion to correct whatever their initial issue was!

Awesome. Love the game will be late pledging the big box. As stated before as a vet with ptsd I mainly play solo due to social anxiety and symptoms getting in the way of social interaction but hey thank God for board games and minis I can paint.

Thanks for such a great game. Although you fixed it at the new KS this should had been a miniatures game. Now turn it into an RPG with modular dungeons crawl something along the lines legends untold but with minis and tiles. Lol now seriously I am getting the big box and can’t wait.

I was on the fence but I think this reply will make me take the plunge. I plan to play this with my gaming group’s kids. I may or may not sneak in a couple of full solo campaigns. 😉 I’d be happy to pay a little to replace messed up components to help support a small-ish company. I can’t imagine a component error of this scale out of their control.

I’m running my campaign and loving this so far. I have a mecromancer, a dark knight and a skirmisher. I mean the posibilites are huge and if you feel adventurous you can take the monsters and create a whole new adventure for the game. Have an Oracle to dictate where the story goes and add foes and their stats from the campaign book and you are set. Awesome game. If they expand this they can turn it into a great RPG.

Get the Kickstarter comes with the base and expansion enemy monies heroes and lots of upgrades.

Great video Colin! Are you planning on doing a review video? If not, would you mind sharing your thoughts on the combat portion of the game? I really love the character development portion but the "scenarios" feel a little dry with those very basic boards. Tom Vasel was calling this game his favorite Dungeon Crawler, but I think he is being generous with the word "Crawler". Do the other scenarios mix things up or is it always just a big open space that you battle in?

Mike has you covered! I will say from what I've played so far the scenarios are different but not drastically so. It feels much more like an adventure game over a crawler in that regard

Colin, at 33:18 I would think the Fighter response to the 3 column attack would have only addressed the bombs away damage to the fighter. I wouldn't think his shake it off would apply to the 2 other characters caught up in that attack and they would have to have a response of their own or take full damage. Can you confirm?

I am playing the 2nd edition of this game, and I can't find the direction deck used in battle with Lady Vinleskya. It takes effect when she uses an attack called Black Ooze. Any help would be most appreciated.

Is the bent cardboard a deal breaker with this one? I would have been pretty ticked if my gloomhaven came like that and this one is about $80, which is quite a board game purchase for me.

I just preordered this game and the hero pack expansion for my birthday. Thanks to you and rolling solo community. I was looking for an easier dungeon crawl and am looking forward to the leveling up system as well as the class changes. Also ordered Aftermath, Wander Cult of Barnicle Bay and Folklore the Afflictions new expansion. I have $170 left. Debating on buying another game or some minis supplies like paints. Wanting to start getting into painting my minis.I also have Forbidden Fortress minis I need to build.

I have testers model paints. Are these good paints for the minis? I am a little overwhelmed on the paint options. I was wanting to use those since I have a set of them already.it has 9 starter colors.

Those should work! The ones I use are contrast Citadel paints

I hate to say it since you were so excited about it, but I think you still need another level before taking champion. You don't have the archer 1 requirement 😢. Nice playthrough though. I saw this on kickstarter and didn't back, but I might pick it up at some point

I get that rules say minimum 3 players, but if I tried to play 2 player with my wife would that be doable (albeit, more difficult?)

They only have health values for the monsters and the bosses for 3, 4, and 5 heroes. So you'd either need to each control 2 characters, or fudge your own lower health values, though doing that would still make it less likely you survive!

I totally think so! Could even give maybe one additional action per player to make up for it? Would have to do some testing to figure out what works best!
